seriously?! having an early bye week is terrible and factors in to us having one of the worst schedules in the league. That means have no break for players hurt to heal, regroup, and adjust our strategy. Having an early bye is horrible especially with the difficult schedule we have. There is no off week for us. So if we get in a rut early it will be very difficult to get out of.

jeeezus folks-- GROW UP-- The bye week doesnt come at too bad of a time if you consider the Pre-season- after 8 weeks of football they will be ready for a break.

And it will let them keep momentum throughout Nov and Dec, and God knows with our last 4 games they will need the momentum.

seriously you think its good for our team to take a break after the first 3 games?! that means that if we have to play the 2nd toughest schedule in the nfl without a break in the hardest stretch.

Yup, what Jonathan just said lol.. the earlier the bye week, the less the odds are in your favor. Most injuries and wear and tear occurs after the first 12-13 games anyway leading into the playoffs/end of the season.

Ummm we have had byes in all different places in the last 14 years, only been to the super bowl once.

it doesnt matter.

football is football, they will play no matter what.

It amazes me how insightful you are. I never realized that teams had different bye weeks each year. What does that have to do with the super bowl? That argument has no backing. There are a lot of teams that have not been to the super bowl once in the last 14 years. Good argument

08 SuperBowl winner Pittsburg bye week= week 4

07 SuperBowl winner Giants bye week= week 9

06 SuperBowl winner Colts - week 6

05 SuperBowl winner Pittsburg- week 4

04 SuperBowl winner Patriots- week 3

03 SuperBowl winner Patriots- week 10

Hmmm--- Looks like they are about 50/50 on bye weeks being late or early.

i HAVE NEVER heard of a coach blaming the season on the bye week. its all about what you do while you ARE ON THE FIELD.
