Saints should lose at least 4-5 key starters this offseason

If he really was fake, don't you think that something would have come up in past 5 years? Brees is very involved with many charities and constantly volunteers his time. The week before first playoff game he attended a charity event for ex player Gleason eventhough most players might have not shown up in the middle of preparing for such an important game.

All that is great and all but even the worst kind of people do good things in the spot light. Even Paris Hilton gives to charity and volunteers her time. Only difference is no dirt has popped up on Brees.

Again, he still appears fake to me.

I also pointed out earlier that it probably was mostly my bias since I dislike him more than any other sports figure today. So no matter what you say as evidence supporting his character, I still will see fake. Same way as no matter what Cam will do, some will always hate him. It's a lost cause.

How about if I just go back to 2006, http://espn.go.com/nfl/attendance/_/year/2006.

Go back into the 90's and early 2000's and it was worse. LOL the damn Saints were about to relocate but the hurricane saved that from happening.

The seating was upgraded from 64,800 in 2005 to 70,002 in 2006. The average attendance that doesn't take into account the fact part of those seats where not set up and available every game. Still that actual attendance average as per link you provided was 68,808 which is 98.4% occupancy.

The occupancy changes as seating was upgraded and dome renovated are here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_Superdome

Regardless, what are you saying by bringing up 2006? That in a year with a new QB, team in rebuilding stage, coming of poor showing, people fresh PFF Katrina with not a lot of extra money available, over 40% of population not in state anymore, with all those negatives we still had complete sellouts out Dome with over 98% attendance. Well that just proves my point further. Thanks!

God damned lucky I can't find the article I posted a couple of years ago that showed the Saints attendance in the late 90's and early 2000's. You guys were running at a 70% clip some of those years.

Elite teams don't go 0'fer on the road in the playoffs. The elite teams are playing tomorrow. The Seahawks were an elite team last year.

Brees and the offense overcame 5 turnovers against what is supposed to be the best defense in NFC and tripled their home average of allowing just 11 points per game. Eventhough Saints had stronger victories against tougher opponents, the order of tiebreakers gave 49ers the 2 seed resulting in two weeks rest and extra double the time to review film and gameplan which was very evident as well as homefield advantage. Bottom line, in a situation that greatly favored 49ers, Brees dod more than enough for win and the better team lost. The defense let us down against Seattle since offense put up well above their season average too. We have a new DC and Payton has the defense at the center of his attention sp expect a better D next year.

Regardless, of the loss, Saints have best offense in history, and if that isn't good enough to consider the team Elite, than what is?

I already had this conversation with a falcons fan earlier this year and researched it all, the worse year was 82 or 83 with about 86% occupancy. I never looked back further than Superdome, but also you need to look at numbers compared to seats available as the Superdome has many renovations and occupancy changes dependi on the years scheduled events.

Excuses. An L is an L, no matter how many excuses you put in there.

And if the team was so elite, they would be playing tomorrow. Last time I checked, a TEAM was made up of offense, defense, and special teams.

The better team is playing the Giants tomorrow, sorry to burst your little bandwagon bubble.

the better team didn't lose. if the team was better, they would have won

49ers lead the league in turnover differential, they've won games like that all year. you're just salty your team is still winless on the road in the postseason so you spit out the dumbest fuging thing imaginable herp derp the better team lost!

So the team that won one game, regardless the fact the circumstances greatly favored them, are the Elite team, not the one that had better performances across an entire season. Not even you can believe that! That means last week you would have considered The Golden Calf of Bristol and Broncos an elite team and good luck getting anyone to agree with you. How bout the fact Saints beat the "elite" Giants so bad we were accused of running up the score!? So I'd one game is so important, how are we not Elite for beating the "elite" Giants?

Bottom line, the best teams don't always win and if you ask 1,000 random NFL fans who are the elite teams of NFC, just to pick a neutral team, let's say Packers, I can guarantee you the majority if not all will include Packers in that list.

Las Vegas has just published the 2013 SuperBowl odds. The two teams at top of entire league are Packers at 5-1 odds, and next Saints at 6-1 odds. Patriots round out top 3 with 10-1 odds.

What most people consider the elite teams are the top 3 -5 teams in the league that are always in playoffs and legitimate SB contenders. Yet, you want to try to prove your point so bad at the expense of common sense and consider 49ers an elite team eventhough they haven't even been on the map before this year, and on the other hand, you won't consider last years SB champ Packers elite regardless of beating all but one team, including the playoff bound Lions with just their backups, and losing a game the week thier OC buried his son which definitely had some impact on game. Stop being silly, youre not even buying it.

So basically the better team is the one that won the game no matter what. So that mean 2011 Chiefs > 2011 Packers and 2011 Rams > 2011 Saints

Keep it coming, now your really have me rolling on the floor laughing!
