Truly elite teams don't lose road playoff games all the time. Sorry. You guys were good, on offense, but not an elite team when it's all said and done.

You're entitled to your opinion. Just realize the overwhelming majority of population and Vegas gaming completely disagrees.

Just curious, you said only elite teams are the ones playing. Does that mean the losers are no longer elite after tomorrow or does your definition apply to divisional winner forward?

Also, you said the better team is the one that won, so plugging into that formula, Saints mauled the Giants, your definition says Saints better than Giants with that win, Giants elite team since they are currently playing, and wouldn't Saints be elite since according to your definition they are better than the elite Giants?

The bolded quote is what kills me about you so called Saint fans. The fact that you say your team is always in the playoffs and a legitimate SB contender. It's been that way for a few years dude. You guys and your revisionist history.

It's been that way for 3 years and is not showing any signs of changing. So now your newest claim is that there is not enough history there in 3 years and SB win, wildcard win, and 2 division championships.

Yet on the other hand, the 49ers are elite with just one playoffs win under their belt with previous years without even a winning record.

It's funny how you keep changing your definitions to fit you agenda. :thumbsup:

As Brees said, each year is different. Right now your team is 0-0 like ours. The only ones who can keep talking are those still playing. What you did this year has no bearing on next year. Right now you are no more elite than anybody else. Once your season is over it is history. You were a good team in 2011. Brees is an elite quarterback. Whether he is elite in 2012 and whether you guys are good or not remains to be seen.

And yes the teams that are still playing are those who are playing best currently. What they did in the regular season short of determining the initial pairing and later the draft is irrelevant. Just ask Green Bay about that one.
