The Truth about our Schedule.............

Thats called John Fox. He has to take his foot off the gas. He follows these set rules that everyone in the league knows. He looks for a big play on plays once in 1st half. Then goes ultra conservative until second half. If we are a head, its ultra conservative until we lose the lead. If we are behind, then all the plays are available and not surprisingly we move/score better. Its his gift and curse I guess. However last year, conservative was the run game which just happened to be mega explosive so it worked well. Hopefully more of the same this year.

Let's be real, the AFC East benefited last year from the easiest schedule in the league, and aside from the Patriots none of the teams are as good as their records implied last year. The NFC East will be tough (NYG, PHI) but still manageable and we still have a good chance of going 4-2 or 5-1 in the division, especially considering Tampa is now no longer really gonna be competitive. All told I think our schedule is MUCH easier than our opposing record would have you believe.

Don't count the Bucs out till the fat lady sings man. Same as I'm not counting out a team with a locker room disaster that won't sign his tender sheet, and a QB that is coming off a 6 turnover performance in the biggest game of the season for the Panthers to lead the way. Its just as easy to bash one team as it is another and bring up little fun facts as to why that team isn't as good as what its record showed.

Don't forget the Panthers 12-4 record came in multiple games they nearly lost and could have lost. Carolina has the early bye week, and still plays some teams that will put a good lickin' on em.

Atlanta was in major rebuilding mode, and was going to suck too.

But they only made the playoffs.

I don't see how people are saying the exact same thing this year about the Bucs as they did about the Falcons, especially seeing how they turned out.

Because the Falcons had a good team base and made good FA acquisitions. Trading for Kellen "whiny bitch" Winslow Jr is not a good start. I like the Derrick Ward acquisition but that's the only move they made in the plus column. Add onto that the Bucs' HORRID draft record.

Well considering Tampa has been building guys that fit their new scheme. They aren't working a new scheme with the same players, like people are seeming to think for some reason. Most of the people on this forum focus on just the Panthers and don't look into other teams as much as their own. Saying the Bucs won't be competitive has no backing to it.

Brooks played hurt to finish the season so pretty much anyone filling in his spot would be a better option, ontop of him being old and past his prime. Jermaine Phillips is a big hitter, and is quick enough to blow plays up in the backfield. If you don't know who he is, then it just shows you don't study your opposition.

Angelo Crowell is a 120+ tackle guy a season and there will be 3 OLBs swinging in to keep the guys fresh. Whether they start or not, which Geno Hayes is the guy who blocked your punt and ran it for a touchdown as one of the guys.

Aqib Talib was involved in multiple turnovers vs the Panthers whether he was the one with the turnover or breaking the play up and creating one. Ruud has the same role as Beason does and are both solid young leaders.

We both struggle with our defensive line, but our offenses counter each other. Any QB the Bucs put in (Leftwich or Luke) they can produce the same type of production as Jake (15 touchdowns, 12 interceptions) if not better. Also, the Bucs have a 4 running back set and have a bit more versatility with the passing options. The Panthers do have a better ground game on paper because of last year... but we'll see how it goes this year with 3 guys for Tampa running the ball and Clifton Smith in on danger plays.

Also, the Bucs run different offensive formations then the Panthers... so its really too hard to tell at this point.

But its the Bucs....

Face it, you had the most success under Gruden and Dungy, get ready for the "downhill" bro, odds are stacked against you.

New GM

New Coach

New D Coord

New QB

and you wont draft some flashy 1st round QB = no excitement + all those factors = FAILURE
