The Truth about our Schedule.............

The truth is folks, we might have the "hardest" schedule based on last seasons performance, BUT- it will probably be far from that.

In the NFL teams change every year, matter of fact you can bet that at least a 1/3rd of the "hardest" teams will be less than that.

With that said we are due to play at least 2 "surprise" teams.

All in all, dont fret, our season will be determined by the guys wearing black and blue, not the teams we play. ;)

guys here's the truth about football: it's a game of inches

so is sex.

uh, back on topic though, a lot of the reason we have a hard schedule is because the NFC south was a bitch to compete in last year. I don't think all 3 of our rivals will go out and break even or improve on their record from last year.

For that matter we can say the same thing about the AFC east. The Jets are most likely to plummet there.

Two hikers are out in the woods when a bear starts to charge.

As they’re running one stops, takes off his hiking boots and puts on his tennis shoes.

The other guy says “What are you doing? We can’t outrun that thing!”

The other says “I’ve just got to outrun you”.

Carolina is at the same odds to finish as strong as any other NFC South team. 12-4 is hard to repeat and doesn't happen typically in the NFC South. The Bucs were the only team to not go from worst to first since 2004 I believe with a 9-7 record 2 years in a row. Also, Tampa was only one of 6 teams to have consecutive winning season the past 2 years... so I'm not too sure how it'll fair. If you guys can pull out some wins that you shouldn't, then losing a game in the south won't be as bad.

Yeah, I'm glad I had my tennis shoes with me that day. Also, good to see you're finally out of the hospital rayzor :D

i'm getting used to the stump and my head serves as a salad bowl but, yeah, i'm doing ok.

btw....this should in no way be the goal...perfection is. win every game, never let up. never give up a lead, never protect a lead. only grow the lead.

this is one year that we can't play it safe.

I think our bye week timing hurts us. I don't like it that early. However, considering we usually suck the game or two after the bye, then at least we get back in rhythm for the rest of the season.
that will be tough but at least we will know sooner than later what damage will be done in the bye.

    • I'm going with Robinson tonight.
    • I've watched and listened to several evaluations from the good ole youtubers.  From what I was able to watch, the first few drives before I left to do a job to the end of the game were very different for Bryce.  So he had a "good" game.  Which is great.  I love a win, period.  His WRs had some drops, thing ripped away, etc.  Not great, but a W is a W, right? I think the Panthers have to start Bryce.  You have to see if he continues to build on the good plays and make fewer and fewer bad plays.  No QB is going to play a perfect game.  But we need to continue to see Bryce make plays.  Does he have the ability to will his team to victory?  I'm not sure. I'm still in the Bryce is a backup QB camp.  I'm glad he had a good game, I glad we won, but I need to see more before we make a decision to keep or trade him.  Playing Andy literally does NOTHING to help you for the future.  Andy may not even resign with the Panthers.  We could be out both starting QBs by the time FA/Draft season hits. Ultimately, this is a Dan Morgan and Dave Canales issue.  Can they get value out of Bryce to help them improve the total roster?  Is there a FA QB who would be an upgrade?  A surprise cut or post season trade?  Or is there a QB at the top of the draft who they think they can mold into a high level starting QB?  I don't know. I do know I want to see more of Bryce Young and more out of him on the field.  I want to see the fire, the competitor come out.  I want him getting pissed.  I want him to grab his beanbag and tell us all he's the f'ing dude.  I just don't think we'll see that out of Bryce.  If not the fire, then let me see the ice - let me see the rattle proof dude who kills with accuracy and playmaking no matter how hot and crazy it gets.
