lol. Did I just see a poster defend Bell because of his youth when he/she is always on the side of Fua and McClain being busts?

Bell was undrafted. The fact he saw the field his rookie year, injures or not is impressive considering the investment. I m unhappy with our DTs considering the investment but I want to see how bad they are with a good defense and bit more experience.

I think these stats are a bit misleading. Yes, a lot of the sacks Cam took were not super quick, but that was because he had the ability to extend plays and get away from the initial pressure. Whereas a less mobile QB would have been sacked a lot quicker much of the time. So while the OL did not give up a ton of quick sacks, they did give up a lot of quick pressure, which can have the same, or worse, effect than a sack.

the pressure wasn't any worse than most the teams in the league.

the stats tell an accurate enough of a story.

the oline was fine enough to help us get to the 6th ranked offense in the league.

If Cam wasn't such a freak athlete.....Bell getting beat like a drum would have been a much bigger deal.

again, bell was a rookie. they all (with the exception of a very few rookies who come out and excel right away) get beat like a drum.

he got worse late in the season, but he hit the rookie wall.

he'll be better next year. he'll have more preperation, more experience, and more endurance.

and....he'll be backing up otah.

well, I thought he played like an undrafted rookie RT.....as in he shouldn't of been on the field. I wouldn't count on him being good enough to start next year.....he was laying carpet for a reason.

Damn I didn't mean to pie you, but why on earth would you think that? Hurney has already said it's was THEIR decision to IR him cause it would be a lingering issue. And it's better for him to strengthen it up.

I thought I also heard that he could have kept sputtering along but they pulled the plug early and pretty much determined that they were going to give him a (final) chance to see if he really could get healthy and byIR'ing him like they did, all doubt about sufficient recovery time would be removed.

Lots of pressure is on Jeffrey for 2012 camps. Otah will be a Panther barring some ridiculous interest in him coming out of nowhere which is highly unlikely or he cannot get better a.k.a. pass a physical and is outright released.

If he can go he will be playing for his NFL future, here or elsewhere, and there is every reason to believe that we will get his very best effort.
