Trade rumors may have validation

Jon Beason isn't developed? D-Will, Stewart? Gamble?

Not to mention converting Davis from safety to solid starting linebacker and converting rookie corner Godfrey to starting free safety. Id say we do our fair share of developing actually.

Kalil, Gross.... you get the point.

I like Jermaine Phillips to play very similar to Thomas Davis this season, same type of motor and tenacity on the field. Both guys are hard to break and have a good MLB to help wrack ball carriers up. Godfrey struggled a bit and is rough around the edges, guess you can compare that to Sabby Piscitelli too.

Funny thing is that it seemed like you guys were dropping him in coverage time to time. How was he not being moved around?

and has been for quiet sometime now.so how was he not being used right.im tired of people bailing him i think peppers want to play qb.

Well let's see... I don't recall Reggie White or Michael Strahan being moved around much and somehow they managed to "reach their potential".

It's like other coaches and GM's have said, when you play DE in a 43 scheme your job is to go get the QB, if your not reaching your potential in doing that - it's on you.

nor did bruce smith.one thing they had that mr.peppers is lacking is a pair of balls and that killer drive.

Well no way Dorsey gets dropped this quick in his career to Carolina, and the Bucs are high up on Larry English... Its coming down to Larry English or Michael Johnson for the Bucs #1 pick... I highly doubt Carolina will be able to get English, as even if the Bucs trade down with the Giants or Patriots, they'll still be in position to snag English before Carolina.

if KC is moving to a 3-4 they will move him he does not fit in a 3-4..and even he does you dont pay a 3-4 DT what they paid dorsey already.

Yea but Dorsey is still a first round value as he has youth and upside. Dumb to waste a 1st round high pick to trade the guy the following year for a late 2nd round pick. They could get a late first round out of this guy at worse even if they did contemplate moving him.

I think the only person holding Peppers back is Peppers. He can be very dominate and then disappear and be blocked one on one by a rookie tackle. 2 Years ago Jones-Drew the 5-8 running back blocked him by himself. That should not happen. I hope we get good value for him.

PFW is a good source (unlike PFT). I agree with the comments - Carolina brings in great talent, but fails to develop it.

Blanket statements with no merit FTW

Not so sure. How many more players will leave or be released because they never became the player we or they thought they would become?

"He’s hard to block one-on-one. You always need a secondary blocker against him. When you are setting up an offensive scheme, that is the guy you have to stop. He can play left or right end, move inside or stand up. He has all the tools you want in a defensive end. The only thing he lacks is hard-core, nasty desire all the time. He’s too laid-back. If there’s anything missing, that is it. But it has not stopped him from producing.”

HAHAHAHA....sorry to jump in on this late as this has been pointed out, but that's funny.

schefter is back???

Sort of...

Source: Schefter to ESPN

Several league and industry sources have told us that Adam Schefter, who still is under contract with NFL Network, will join ESPN later this year.

Schefter is still under contract with NFLN, but he has not appeared on the air since early March. Schefter told Neil Best of Newsday on March 23 that he remains under contract with NFL Network until the middle of August.

It remains to be seen whether and to what extent Schefter’s arrival affects the current NFL insider lineup at ESPN. At a minimum, it could make for a spirited-to-the-point-of-awkward in-house rivalry between Schefter, Chris Mortensen, John Clayton, Michael Smith, and the army of beat-writers-turned-bloggers who compete to break news.

You'd have to imagine that Schefter got plenty of inside access working for the league. Whether they'll be as accommodating for him while he's otherwise employed will be interesting.
