Trade rumors may have validation

Really? Was this on espn or did you have a link?

You know I have thought a bit about the Chiefs. I don't see how they would give up their #3 for Peppers, plus additional picks. So I am thinking they might want to move Glenn Dorsey. I could possibly see a Glenn Dorsey plus picks for Peppers. If not, I don't see how they give up more than the #3 pick.

well, besides the "and additional picks" part, that makes a ton of sense.

I will tell you this — there is not a player like Peppers in this year’s draft. You’re talking about a pass rusher who is still in his prime. He is not washed up. He may not be happy, but he’s never had any problems off the field. I was much more concerned about Jared Allen’s background than I am with Peppers’. He’s never been in any trouble.

That right there is why he will get us at least one first round draft pick. I still have no doubt in my mind that Peppers has played his last down as a Panther and we will have an extra 2 picks in this draft (one being a first rounder) OR a first rounder this year and extra compensation in the form of a first rounder next year/a player of our choosing.

Ehh, the article references "a pro scout", meaning "an unnamed pro scout", meaning "some guy I invented to stir things up and generate an article". Don't put too much stock into anything said.

OR..some guy who used to work for the Panthers and they let go..but he's not bitter...NO HE'S NOT BITTER AT ALL...:D

The main problem I think Peppers is having is ever since Mike Rucker left, he's basically played half hearted. Peppers has wanted out even before the end of last season (as he didn't re-sign with the Panthers when offered)... Also, look at the rest of the defense and linebackers... its all on Peppers shoulders alone to carry the workload of forcing pressure.

Great defensive players have typically always had a decent suppourting cast to lessen the workload.

Well no way Dorsey gets dropped this quick in his career to Carolina, and the Bucs are high up on Larry English... Its coming down to Larry English or Michael Johnson for the Bucs #1 pick... I highly doubt Carolina will be able to get English, as even if the Bucs trade down with the Giants or Patriots, they'll still be in position to snag English before Carolina.

Yes there is.........he isn't a 3-4 DT.........

I heard KC might be looking to trade Dorsey several weeks ago.

Well the thing with Stewart and D... people will beg to argue as being a HB in the NFL, you have to produce more then 1 year consistently to get acknowledgment. People try to overshadow DeAngelo's future with negativity if you notice, rather then embracing the good he's did... people are just stupid sometimes, not you guys but just random people who think crap like that.

Atleast the guy who said you guys don't develop talent could have explained his point of view a tad bit more.

Agreed

And all the Jenkins locker room talk may also influenced Peppers.

The reason Peppers was blocked by one player most of last season ,was B/C he was just

" Punching The Clock ".

This happens every day in life,People that just show up and get paid .

Maybe the D-Coaches were part of the Problem, but most are gone now .

I would love to trade Peppers to EAGLES for their 2 first round picks .

    • Him and Sanders are the only QBs I would consider in the first round. I won’t be upset if we take Sanders, unlike some people on the board. Both have potential to be really good NFL QBs if the teams can develop them.  But as we have seen teams are not willing or are unable to now properly develop rookie QBs.
    • I remember the last time we had a Cam at QB in Charlotte
    • Because Young is so historically bad that it just skews too far outside the normal deviations that perspective is easily lost. That or they just don't want to believe it.  The struggles last year would have been more about the infighting and poor roster building or idiot owner's hiring practices than with Stroud. He wouldn't have been as good but he wouldn't have been ruined here and the pressure was not Carr-esk if you take out the Young created portion from his playing style.  Dude is a young guy on a team coached by a Defensive guy building a good D but not building up the O in year 2 of his HC 1st time gig. Seems familiar... Go look at his output this year and not just some crappy Thursday night implosion game, I would take that in a second and never ever look back every time without a shred of doubt while eating 4 of those games a year with a giant smile on my face.
