I think our CBs get a pooton better with a good D-Line and our new Secondary coach.

But I am known for having lofty hopes and dreams.

Ehhhhhhh I hope so but there is a good chance we could have 2 new starters back there next season. Pretty safe to say that everyone hopes Martin is gone or on the bench.

Captain is a FB player w/ a big heart for the game, but his size is starting to be used against him more than I like.

VERY few CBs can cover a WR for over 8 seconds.

Taking a CB when a big time DLine prospect is there is icing your cake without baking the layers.

While this may be true, Munnerlyn can't guard for 8 tenths of a second. We've seen him get beat on quick throws when pressure wouldn't have mattered. Regardless of the pass rush, CB is a big need for us.

Me either, I hope he doesnt read my twitter account.

Reason I didnt pick a DB in my mock AND say im not sure we add one in Free Agency has several reasons.

DBs in FA are usually expensive.

The DB class isnt super stacked this year in FA.

I expect us to bring in a Defensive Tackle in FA. (Garay)

Brandon Hogan was basically a redshirt this season, but I thought he made a couple decent plays and had solid coverage when I could see him.

Darius Butler can play football, he did however get to the party late and he had a major family issue come up middle of the season (his daughter had heart surgery). I cant for a moment think he had his mind 100% on the game all year and I can blame him.

Hope you're right and we have some talent waiting to show itself on the roster. I'm sure Rivera has an idea about that already and as has been mentioned when he praised the DT position you gotta think: smoke screen. :D

Devon Still in the first.

Stephon Gilmore in the second.

Problem with Still is several places have commented that he is as good as he is going to get. That is troublesome, and we drafted a player like that in Spinnarooni and we see how that worked out (everette brown).

That's cause we are generally using too many to try to generate a pass rush that we are anemic in coverage. Granted, Captain isn't Revis but he has a spot on the team

That should have no effect on Captain or any CB for that matter. If you can't cover you can't cover.

But like Kurb said he is out best ST coverage player and that's where he has a spot on this team.

    • i felt good for those few games that bryce didn't look like the worst in the league. all that fell apart again sunday.  i'm borderline just bailing on it all. i've been hanging on by a thin thread for several years. i mean it's not even fun to watch any football right now.
