You can't quantify an offensive tackle in stats. Come on man you know better than that.

Sacks allowed isn't a quantifiable stat to judge a Left Tackle upon? Wow.

:seeya::out:

Are sacks a quantifiable stat for Defensive Ends?

2 missed games last year, 15 in 2007, 8 in 2006.

Coming off a serious injury in 2007, missing essentially the full season, he came back last year and started 14 games. I'd say that speaks for itself. I'm not saying his recent history of injuries doesn't worry me. But to call him Dan Morgan who has NEVER even completed 1 full season?? Give me a break. In Pace's 12 seasons, he started and played in all 16 games in 7 of those seasons

OK, my homer side has us at 13-3. My pessimist side says 8-8. My realistic side says 11-5

Basing this, of course, off an assumption of opponent's level of play being on a lateral level to the play of last season

If you want to bring stats in on this then something like what Football Outsiders has set up will be a better guide of what Pace is capable of at this moment:

I understand the Bears fans' group psyche to get extremely excited over something too quickly (Rex Grossman anyone?), and this seems to be yet another case of that happening.
