St. Louis reportedly hires Brian Schottnheimer

NFL.com's Mike Lombardi reports that the Rams have offered Brian Schottnheimer their offensive coordinator position, and Schottenheimer "will accept the position."

Ushered out in New York after failing to help Mark Sanchez develop, Schottenheimer will now be tasked with overseeing the progression of Sam Bradford. Once well respected in coaching circles, Schottenheimer's recent failures are disturbing in a decidedly what-you've-done-for-me-lately league. Bradford will enter his third different offensive system in three seasons, and Schottenheimer will start out in St. Louis with considerably less offensive talent than he ever had with the Jets. I dunno if he has considerably less offensive talent than he had in NY...Bradford is 10 times the QB Sanchez is and that almost by itself gives the Rams the edge, but even aging and slowed by injuries Steven Jackson is also better than Tomlinson at this stage in his career and Green. His receivers are a little worse in St.L and so is his offensive line, but if I had to choose between Bradford and his weapons or Sanchez and his, I'd take Bradford.

Just wondering, am I still in the minority of people who think Bradford has already reached his full potential? I just hear people talk about him but he really isn't anything to write home about.

Hard for anyone to tell honestly. Had a very promising rookie season and a very forgettable season this year thanks to a rash of injuries that left 10 or more people on IR for them this year. Not enough body of work to make an assumption on him but it's hard for me to believe that a QB's rookie season is his full potential.

...Bradford is 10 times the QB Sanchez .

What is that based on? Stats, wins, playoff appearances, 4th qtr comebacks, game winning drives? Personally I like Bradford and have a certain disdain for Sanchez but if anything, Sanchez has proven he is 10x the QB Bradford is so far although at the end of their careers it could be the total opposite.
