As I posted in the Defence section. You simply HAVE to count the franchise tag against the cap.

For example there's no way ANYONE would franchise a 32 year old Shockey.

the franchise tag will cost $0. some of us know Shockey would not get tagged, but the GM of that team choose to do so.

I know in real life it wouldnt happen. but in this mock offseason, I thought that was best for the team because it didnt cost any money.

same rules as last year, we will put prices on tags next year. or if everyone votes and say we should put prices for tags this year, than we will add them.

This setup is artificial anyway, GMs cant cut or restructure players to gain cap space which always happens in the real world. My Giants for instance have $7 in cap money compared to over $60 for others. If the FT cost money just take the best 4 ufas off my roster and move on. The no cost allows the Giants to keep one FA, but as far as acquiring free agents with cap money, maybe I can get a marginal player at $7. :lol:

I think it would be better to just give every team $30 to spend and a free FT tag because we're using a cap number that cant be manipulated.

he has got lazy and is now doing 1 team a day. if every team is not up, i will go to his free agent section and pick the top 5 free agents from there. and looks like me and you are picking 31st and 32nd.:D
