Civilization Series

Only problem I have with Civ 5 (or any other Civ for that matter), is the fact that diplomacy is basically useless. You can be as nice as you can be to the AI and they will still hate you if you're too close to them geographically, more technologically advanced than them...basically if your civ is better than theirs in any way, they will hate you and force you to go to war with them because they won't trade without ridiculous stipulations.

Yeah that was a bit of a problem in Civ 4 as well, especially on the higher difficulty levels. They only way I knew to get around it was to convert to the same religion and go on some crusades together

I've been looking into getting a Civ game for awhile now. I've only got a decent laptop off the shelf though...would I have problems playing with that? Excuse my ignorance on computer gaming, but I hardly play my Xbox anymore and would love to pick up Civ 5 or something to keep me busy.

I have a 3 year old lenovo and it runs decently with all the graphics set to low. I believe there is a demo available you can use to check how well your computer handles it

Got Gods & Kings expansion this weekend.

It really makes the game alot better, the AI is improved, diplomacy is more effective and religion and espionage are factors.

If you don't have it... I give it a rating of 10 pocket protectors.

Thats really good BTW.
