It is too bad that the 49ers are going to keep Alex Smith. They have potential to be great if they could just make some plays in the passing game.

The 49ers would have more points on the board with Jimmy Clausen as their QB. No, seriously. With a great Defense, Jimmy Clausen wouldn't be COSTING THEM POINTS like Alex Smith is doing.

If SF ever developes a passing game to go with the running game and defense they have, they will be hard to stop.

They drafted Kaepernick this past year and don't see him doing that much better than Smith. He has such a weird throwing motion.

Crabtree and who? Ginn?? If you mean receiver duos and are including Vernon Davis I wouldn't call it one of the best... Crabtree isn't THAT good. I think they could use another receiver. In my mock I originally gave them Kendall Wright, but my new one has him gone before they pick.

But they could use a decent QB more. Alex Smith's passes have been off all game, a lot of the drops have been half his fault because he's putting the ball in bad spots. A drop is a drop, but a lot of the throws aren't tough throws, he could be helping his receivers a lot more than he is.
