Well, if you wanna go the tinfoil hat route, McDermott was a DB coach. You could ask him to return to that role and give Spagnuolo the DC job.

spags would be awesome... if only this were madden.

does he have any connection to rivera or the scheme he's trying to run? spags was a 4-3 guy right?

Meeks was brought in by Fox. He is a play soft, but don't give up a home run guy. Problem is he gave up to many home runs. Rivera is a punch in your face type of guy and take no prisoners. He has someone in mind or he would not have made this change this soon. Not blaming Meeks, but he had his chance. Will wind up with Fox somehow.

The change in attitude is continuing. Go Catssssssssssssssss

(that's not gonna happen)

Agreed....but wouldn't that be awesome? Would give us a top tier DC that has extensive knowledge of Jim Jonshon's defensive philosophy and would keep him from joining the Falcan'ts. Spags is being considered for their open DC position, though it's expected he will rejoin Reid in Philly. I think Spags is a better fit as a DC than McD, who is a very good DB coach. Our D schemes would be sick with Rivera, Spags and McD at the helm.

In order for our Offense to play even more Aggressive, we need a defense that can force turnovers. Without it, our offense has to play flawless games in order to win(and probably not take as many risks unless we're down by a margin). That means getting people on the line and lbers back and changing the DB's mindset from softzone to attacking the ball.

That's why teams like the Packers and New Orleans can win. Top Notch offenses with defenses that give up yardage but they get a lot of turnovers. In fact, it can probably be said for a lot of the teams in the playoffs.
