Coach Rivera says he has a plan if Chud leaves [that doesn't involve major changes]

He has had one good season and it was not a play off season.

He has a freak as a QB.

Not all QBs can run this offense.

He had gaps in the red zone play calling.

While I understand the love for the innovations of Chud and no question that the Panthers offense is something to behold, well for one year, I just cannot believe that

the other teams are willing to give the keys to the castle to a first time OC who did not prove anything in the playoffs.

...just me, I know.

He had two good seasons out of three.

Chudzinski was the OC for Cleveland in 07-08. 07 happened to be the year that Derek Anderson made the pro bowl. So it's not like this year was his only year as an OC.

That's all good and that's all great; but, it is still not a consistent body of work that demonstrates ready for the next level.

Vast difference between a great HC and a great Coordinator...two very different animals.

The Panthers offense by no means has arrived either.

The Panthers also were by no means were all that consistent when they needed to be against better competition and it took them until what the 7th-8th game before there was a decent run/pass mix and that coincided with competition that was not as strong in the second half.

I wish him all the best; but, if i was the person writting the checks as an owner no way is this guy ready.

Work with the Panthers, grow that offense, make it something, make his mark then talk to me.

I like what he has done but for me to drink the Chud juice:

1. get to the playoffs

2. beat somebody decent

3. learn how to beat the blitz with slants and hot reads (yes, part of that is Cam but part of that is his play calls.

Just my 2 cents before hopefully Pats slay the Broncos so I don't have to hear about the anti-christ another 2 months.

True....

But he has never been part of a team thahave was the OC for that made the playoffs

In year 2 of his scheme in Clev they were the 31st ranked offense after his great debut season (with the same talent). Does he get predictable? Does he make poor play alas more often than we think ( everyone forgets how much the bitched about it early on). A lot of what we saw this year was Cam just being a freak

IMO, Chud will not go to a team that does not have a QB. So, if he does not go to Tampa, he should be back for another year. Chud is an offensive guy, the team that wants him needs to have a QB for Chud to build around.

On a personal note. I hope it takes Chud as long as it took Rivera to get his first gig. Six year, and eight interviews. Selfish, admitedly.

We are safe for the time being. Relax, and GOOOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
