Coach Rivera says he has a plan if Chud leaves [that doesn't involve major changes]

Won't this be a new scheme for Shula? I mean besides last year...

His resume isn't bad...and I think promoting within is the most reasonable answer. Although it isn't too impressive, is there anyone better available, realistically?

A contingency plan is good keeping the status quo going and all.

But I hope Chud stays also because I like his play calling, despite the fact he once had the audacity to call a 3rd and 2 deep bomb and annoyed the Huddle Mob.

our running game wasn't very good then. i'd be willing to bet he'd have called some sort of a run with the offense we had going into the last few weeks of the season.

He has had one good season and it was not a play off season.

He has a freak as a QB.

Not all QBs can run this offense.

He had gaps in the red zone play calling.

While I understand the love for the innovations of Chud and no question that the Panthers offense is something to behold, well for one year, I just cannot believe that

the other teams are willing to give the keys to the castle to a first time OC who did not prove anything in the playoffs.

...just me, I know.

I'm with you man, I think most of the fans have vastly overrated his talents. People seem to downplay the fact that Cameron is that special.

Chudzinski was the OC for Cleveland in 07-08. 07 happened to be the year that Derek Anderson made the pro bowl. So it's not like this year was his only year as an OC.

I'd be pretty surprised if the Bucs hire Chud. Given the disarray that team is in and how the players gave up on Raheem, they need a proven leader of the entire team...not just an OC that can help their QB. Chud may be a good leader...I don't know. But I think proven experience and leadership is the way to go for them.

Given who they're considering, if I'm the Glazers, I'd go with Schotty or Sherman with Zimmer my next tier choice. Childress has the experience, but I never thought he was that good of a coach.
