Check it out. Talks about his injury, what its like to go through the draft, and his thoughts on the the panther's top priorities for the draft.

The biggest thing is that he said his shoulder and bicep (?) were feeling good and that he was going to start lifting this week. Good news for the secondary!

when was it that he got the injury?

i knew beason's had been around for a few weeks, hadn't it?

I think sometime around the middle of the season. I don't think they even mentioned the injury though until after the season was over. I was wondering why he forced a couple fumbles early in the year but then that part of his game pretty much disappeared. Guess it's hard to force fumbles with one arm.

Working my way back from Injury

About half way through the season, I tore my labrum (shoulder). I was able to play through the pain throughout the season. During the playoff game, my shoulder came out of place. I continued to play the rest of the game although I was in excruciating pain. I had surgery right after the season on January 22 to repair the damage.

This has been my first injury and first surgery since I've been in league and I don't want to make a habit of it. Rehab has been great. I Started working on recovering every day since the end of the season. I am on schedule and can't wait to get back on the field. I'm at rehab every day from 8am until 12:30 or 1pm. I'm very focused on completing my rehab so I can help the Panthers win games next season. I haven't been as active as I usually have been with other activities except for spending time with my family.

For those of you who have expressed concern and support about my injury and subsequent rehab, thank you!
