Bucs Interviewing Chud

Ruff

Recommended Posts

Im kinda just ready for someone to take Chud. He has not turned down any offers so its clear he does not want to stay in Carolina in the long term. I mean if your interviewing with the Buc's and the Rams you desperately want to be a coach.

Every single offensive coordinator in the NFL wants to be a coach. Taking any kind of offense to that is silly.

It's like being mad that your backup QB left to take a starting gig somewhere else in free agency. "Oh I guess he wasn't committed to the team!"

I have no idea if he'd be a good HC or not, but don't think his demeanor would have anything to do with it. Honestly, they flash to the guys face for .8 seconds maybe three times a game, so I'm not sure we even know exactly how is demeanor IS. He could be going apeshit in the box - foaming at the mouth, screaming and karate chopping people in the neck after every bad play for all we know.

Anyways, him looking to move up doesn't bother me at all. More power to the man. Him having absolutely zero issues interviewing with a division rival after one year with us is trash and cools me on him quite a bit.

Mike Zimmer would be no picnic for us either, but better him than Chud.

I'd rather face a Chud Buc team than a Zimmer one. Zimmer is a very good defensive team. Don't want any team being great defenisvely in this division.

I wouldn't be worried about this. TB will go with a defensive guy and Zimmer would be a great fit and will interview well. That franchise has been at its best when their defense is dominant. They've declined dramatically over the last few years. Offense shouldn't be a problem if they stay healthy. Chud is a good guy and an awesome coordinator, but he just won't leave a front office feeling great about an interview with him. In any event, they'll want a defensive guy setting the tone from day one.

No, we can't. You can't deny a coordinator/coach a chance at an interview for a job that would be a promotion.

ugh....yes you can.

i just depends on the time of year.

fro the end of the teams season to march 1 everyone is fair game. after march 1, though, teams can opt to not give permission.

only exception is that once you have given one team permission you have to give them all permission.

Yeah, we should just fire him for wanting to make more money and reach the pinnacle of his profession, right?

You were great at your job Chud, but you stay in that role forever damnit, Cam needs you and his goals are more important than yours, comprende?

You two overreact much...
