Travelle was excellent this year. No injuries. Great play and you never hear to much about the guy. However.... He is getting paid too much damn money. Now I know JR said their will be no major F/A acquisitions in the off season and I'm not saying he will need restructuring this season but something seems a little off here.

He made $7,400,000 this year and is currently the 9th highest paid player on the roster behind names like Johnson, Williams and Beason... The end year is 2013 and it was a 6 year 35 million dollar contract. Now we have a few big signing coming up after this year like Jonathon Stewart and Steve Smith. Even if we lose/restructure Otah is anyone else a little concerned? He is 30 years old and has plenty of years left but the offensive line is really starting to concern me. We have no permanent RG and questions at both tackles. Meh. Sorry late night rant.

In my opinion he is our 2nd best player on the line behind Kalil and tied with Otah (when he wants to play and skip the Bojangles...)... So I do wonder what we could get in a trade but if he's gone....

Bernadeu seems to play well on the left side of the line also Garry Williams is also pretty solid. Which may mean Wharton is the odd guy out, idk how much he accounts for the cap though.

He's a team first guy, one of the ones who paid for this past off season's work out. I think he'd gladly do it. Not many guys expect their contracts to go to full term, it hardly ever happens. That's also a reason total contract value is very misleading.
