I don't get it. Jenkins looks like a better cover corner than Dre. What am I not seeing?

Jenkins got kicked off Fla after his junior year for posession of marijuana and played at North Alabama for his senior year. Character concerns are hurting his stock.

Meanwhile, Kirkpatrick is 6'2 and a hard hitting sure tackler.

His stock will fall in time imo.

Most sites admit Jenkins has more talent but think his character concerns will cause him to fall.

Also, those that like him have not given me any reason to believe Kirkpatrick is worthy of a top 10 pick, seems they are relying on amatuer websites rankings and scouting reports to base their opinion. In addition all season long we looked destined for a top 5 pick, so I think many on here are having a hard time coming to terms with what's going to be avsilable at our pick and just can't wrap their head around the falloff in can't miss prospects in the top 5 compared to what's left.

I'm just expressing my opinion like everyone else does bu it feels like some do not research or very little and then come on her talking nonsense and don't even realize it.

There are a lot of things to look at.

First, how many CB's look better because of their front seven. Alabama's was pretty good.

Second, with his off field concerns, Kirkpatrick could slide even further. Mayock thinks he might have to play safety at the next level.

He might actually be there when we pick in the second round.

All this will cycle back and forth because there are about 5 blue chippers and we pick 8/9. Hope there are some bit hits at the combine. We need more blue chippers.

If its Kirkpatrick in the second..u'll hear no complaints...he would be a great safety but jenkins is a better pure corner.Kirkpatrick is just a safety playing corner.

trade back with pats for their 2 first rounders and their 3rd, pick up jenkins, brockers/BPA pass rusher then pick up kirkpatrick in the 2nd as a FS.

Question for the Kirkpatrick huggers: Say we take Brockers (or Still or Coples or whatever D-lineman most floats Hurnivera's boat) with our first pick and Kirkpatrick is still available at #31. Do you trade up 9 or 10 spots with the Patriots for Kirkpatrick? I'm going to hypothesize we could do it by throwing our next year's 2nd in with our this year's 2nd (it's only 9 or 10 spots, shouldn't have to cost next year's 1st). What about if he's available at #34, do you trade the Colts our 2nd this year and our 3rd next year (or 4th this year or some other combo of picks of roughly equal value, like our 2nd this year and next for their 2nd and 4th this year or something like that) to move up to take him? (I say 34 because the value on #33 is often over inflated a bit because it's the first pick on the second day). I'm not a fan of Kirkpatrick, but in these situations I might pull the trigger on the trade.
