Not hard to post alot when there are topics constantly being replied to... and its a down time for work so I have time to spare at the moment.

I haven't flamed or trolled, you guys don't understand the meaning of trolling apparently. Anytime someone discusses something in the Panthers favor or not... its instantly considered flaming? Your confused is all dksmith17. Yea and some of you might start seeing some infractions if you keep personally insulting someone, because you can't handle sticking with a discussion. Not hard to stay on the topic at hand here guys.

And I could care less about the smack talk forum, you won't see me posting in there as my intent isn't to sit here and argue with people about something not involving football. This topic has filled up with posts as we are all giving our insight. Go read some of my responses, I've went into detail to suppourt my claims. You guys are just mad because I'm not going along with the idea that your going to walk all over everyone like you think.

Lets see...

Bucs x2 - 2 Losses

Falcons x2 - 1 win, 1 Loss

Saints x2 - 1 win, 1 Loss

Patriots - Loss

Bills - Win

Jets - Win

Dolphins - Win

Cowboys - Loss

Redskins - Win

Eagles - Loss

Giants - Loss

Cardinals - Loss

Vikings - Win

7-9, possibly 8-8 if you split with the Bucs.

7-9 but i see it as a split with the bucs and a loss to the jets or vikings. which you have both as wins.

If we keep Peppers, I want 0-16, Fox fired, and the ownership sold.

10-6

i'm leaning the same way... at least on the fox thing. cower is ready in the wings.

if the team is sold, it will most likely be moved and i don't want that to happen like it did to the hornets.

Oh my god, do you mean to tell me that you just spoke against the Panthers favor!!!!... MAN! ASDSFFFDSFDSF! I guess you better learn a thing or 2 here mister, you know nothing about football and your a joke, you need to just be narrow minded and not even bother using your brain to think! JUST LIKE ME! Its that simple man!.. You have your mind set to one thing and if you hear differently, then you obviously being a trolll and your here to ruin my viewing pleasure. I mean, since I'm the only person who counts on this forum and you better learn that...

Hmm, I guess I've been picking this up from a bunch of the people posting on this forum.

"Flaming" is defined as posting statements solely designed to anger or rile up the board majority, which here would be Panthers fans.

Here are some examples:

13-3 is out of the question, get outta this post if you think the Panthers win 13 or more... that or get back to playing Madden.

you guys just act like any realistic thing said against the Panthers that isn't a fairy tale positive idea, is the root of all evil and a reason for you to whine and complain in response when whats being said, could be true whether you want to admit it or not.

If I were a Panther fan and riding the jock like you are, then I'd definatley be loved here. I'm as use to being the butt of all jokes, as your use to sitting on your ass and not doing anything physical in your existence.

bleys - whoa, another guy who posts on here with some true intelligence? I'm amazed, figured this forum was full of beer swiggin rednecks. Crazy.

Yea, don't get your hopes up and don't intagonize any people larger then you that are in groups. Gonna be cool watching you guys travel to Arizona and think your going to stop Fitz lol...

Yea and Carolina doesn't have much of a defense to offer lol.. so it kinda kills your ground game's efforts in the long run with having no D to back em up.

Yea considering Jake is one of the worst starting QBs in the NFL.

Yea, Delhomme is horrible and will never win a ring. Glad some Panthers fans aren't completely blind or too stupid for their own good for a change.

1st post

Well the Panthers have 2 losses coming off the bat...

Yup... I mean, your team has did virtually nothing aside rally behind a 34 year old QB that choked horribly in the playoffs. They are keeping a guy who absoloutely refuses to play there (overpaying him aswell)...

The only smart thing I've seen them do is cut Ken Lucas, as he was a joke in coverage and told my buddy all year they should cut him.

One good shot to Smith (your only receiving threat) its over... One cut block on Beason (your only guy who can legitamately make a tackle) its over... and 1 big hit to D and its over as Stew will be injury prone his whole career.

Mark it down... I speak the truth.

Should I go on?

Im guessing the only reason he is still around is bc all the mods have him on their ignore list.

I think 10-6 would be where we should finish.

Bucs - Win 2x

Falcons - Split

Saints - Split

Patriots - Loss

Bills - Win

Jets - Win

Dolphins - Win

Cowboys - Win

Redskins - Win

Eagles - Win

Giants - Loss

Cardinals - Loss

Vikings - Loss

We could end up beating the Vikes/Cards or losing to Bucs/Eagles so 9-7 to 11-5 is our range in my honest opinion.

I like to break down my prediction by division:

NFC South: We should go 4-3, but the Falcons and Saints are on the upswing and we usually lose one that we shouldn't. Prediction: 3-3

NFC East: Giants, Eagles, Redskins, Cowboys. Although the Cowboys looked weak last year, they will bounce back without T.O. These teams are a cut above us. Prediction: 0-4.

AFC East: Patriots, Dolphins, Jets and Bills. We'd better beat the Bills and Jets, and I think that the Dolphins were one-year wonders last season. Prediction: 3-1.

Cardinals - Still a strong team. L

Vikings - They now have a great defense, AP, and a QB. L

This is just a tough schedule.

Total: 6-10. It could be 7-9 or even 8-8, but Atlanta takes the NFCS and we are done by January.

12-4 to 6-10 this season.....pretty mightly fall for a team that is not losing anything.

You are giving the NFC East WAY too much credit. Remember last season when they were going to take over the NFL? How did that work out? 1 team in playoffs.

You are also giving the Falcons way too much credit....Matt Ryan will be next season's Derek Anderson.

We will go 10-6 this season and win the NFC South.

My take....

PHILADELPHIA- L (we always lose to philly in the regular season)

at Atlanta- W (won't be pretty but a solid W)

at Dallas- L (we always lose to Dallas in the regular season)

WASHINGTON- L (see Dallas explanation)

Tampa Bay- W (they are in rebuilding mode)

BUFFALO- Tough game but we get the W

at Arizona- L (they made a joke of us at BOA and will make a joke of us in AZ)

at New Orleans- W the Superdome is Delhomme and Fox's home away from home

ATLANTA- W

MIAMI- L (we have never beat MIA and I doubt this is the year we finally do)

at N.Y. Jets- L (this is game we should win but find a way to lose)

TAMPA BAY- W (we own Tuberculosis)

at New England- L (Tom Brady will pick us apart like a dried up booger)

MINNESOTA- L (a team that always gives us fits)

at N.Y. Giants- W (fox gets his mojo back in NY)

NEW ORLEANS- W

I was optimistic about last year.... this year not so much.... I see 8-8 as our final record and finally the end of the Delhomme / Fox era

I won't use a definitive as you did, because no one knows whether or not we will win the division (including you), but I doubt that we will win the NFC South.

The 12-4 to 6-10 decline is a reflection that the competition is tougher this year than last, and we haven't changed anything, at least yet. Additionally, our history is that after successful years (1996, 2003, and 2005) we have experienced disappointing years. Look at our records in the past:

1996: 12-4

1997: 7-9

2003: 11-5

2004: 7-9

2005: 11-5

2006: 8-8

So you are the one predicting a break from this team's normal history by predicting two consecutive strong years, not me.

Finally, there is no basis (other than your wishful thinking) for making a case that Matt Ryan will be anything other than an improved QB this season, which brings me to my last point. QB being a critical position, at best we have the third best QB in the division among Ryan, Brees, Jake and Leftwich.

This season is going to be tough because of the schedule. The NFC South, NFC East and AFC East are all tough divisions, and I think that we got a big hint regarding the 2009 season in the last playoff game in 2008. Like you said, we haven't lost anything. Not much has changed.

But don't take it from me. ESPN agrees. It's going to be a long season. According to NFL Analyst John Clayton, we have the 2nd toughest 2009 schedule in the NFL:

Avg defense and great QB<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<great defense and avg to good QB.

Or didn't anyone watch the Titans or Steelers or Ravens last year?

I agree except we had an average QB and a average / below average defense.... the only thing stout we had was an all world WR who caught miracles week in and week out and a great O-line who moved piles for the RB's
