I thought he got close to 100 mil. I could be mistaking and don't get me wrong I would love to have Mario Williams, I just don't know how we could afford him.

Mario will be in the $15 million a year range. Maybe even a bit more.

That is a lot of money! 14 million a year. I guess the most we could attempt to give him is 10 million. With all that said, we do have something of a trump card. His rookie contract payed him handsomely. It could be that Mario isn't really looking for an insane payday, but would give us a hometown discount. I just hope that if he does become a free agent, Hurney and the Big Cat himself would at least attempt to talk with him.

Finally having a real QB might get the team back to back winning seasons for the first time EVER one of these years, which will make our four winning seaons in 16 years hellish stat change, but until JR and Hurney change their tune, we will never be top tier.
