BCS NCG: Bama vs LSU

HeatCheck

As we've already established, Georgia, by your own logic, isn't even the best team in the east.

Additionally:

LSU

Alabama

Arkansas

South Carolina

Georgia

1+1+1+1+1=5.

Georgia's only losses came to your beloved Broncos, and to one of the team's ahead of them-South Carolina.

South Carolina only lost to Auburn, and to a team ahead of them-Arkansas.

Arkansas only lost to the two teams ahead of them-LSU and Alabama.

Alabama only barely lost in OT to what is far and away the best team in the country.

LSU, as said, is unquestionably number one-the only team that rivals them is Alabama.

Surely you see the pattern?

Georgia played in the conference championship didn't they??

There aren't even 5 or 6 good teams in the SEC this year.

And my point was the logic behind some of the other posters. Maybe Georgia is the 5th or 6th best team in the conference. That was my point with KSU. They weren't as good as their record. That is why "derp.... LSU beat Oregon therefore Pac-12 is bad" logic is backwards.

No one said this.. LSU already beat Oregon at a neutral site on turf. Would you have felt better if they would have beat them at their place the same way they beat the Big East champ WVU, who coincidentally put up 70 on what team? in what BCS bowl?

Bama and LSU is the only game that has a reasonable doubt as to the winner.

LSU also beat Bama at Bama in "the game of the century" (which was bullpoo). So why is Bama such a better choice?? Because they lost at home instead of a neutral field??

I wasn't advocating Oregon for the NC game I was just using that as an example of using one game to declare that is why this conference is better than that conference.

For example the argument some have made like "Well Arkansas beat Texas A&M by 4 points, Texas A&M beat Iowa State, and Iowa State beat Oklahoma State a couple days after a major tragedy, then Alabama blew out Arkansas, so therefore Alabama who struggled against Georgia Southern would totally blow out Oklahoma State."

The fact is that Alabama didn't do anything but lose at home against LSU to deserve to play in the NC.

This is the reason the rematch is the title game:

It was terrible that the game had to go on after the tragedy OSU experienced the week before, but life goes on.

Disclaimer: I'm from Iowa and my dad went to ISU....it was the biggest football event in school history and ISU played some great Defense to get them there.

this this this. The best thing Alabama did all year was lose at home. Now they get a rematch versus a better team that clearly fought their way here. Wtf?
