BCS NCG: Bama vs LSU

Oh and lol to whomever said they think Oregon should have been here over Alabama. Not only is that sentiment stupid in itself, but it proves how biased and opionated some of you clowns are.

"You can't have a rematch NCG! That's just dumb!"

"Well I mean, you can have a rematch as

long as it isn't the SEC, I hate that fiendish SEC! Grrrrrr!!!!"

I don't think Oregon should have played and I do think LSU deserved to be there.

I don't hate the SEC either but they got benefits for being really good in past seasons when this year they weren't that good.

Just because one good team beat another good team in one game doesn't mean that much to me.

Oklahoma State could have beaten either one of these teams on any given night as well.

Neither LSU or Bama faced an elite QB all season. Maybe the guy from Arkansas. Oklahoma State trounced the Heisman Trophy winner and beat the greatest college QB since John Elway (according to some)

I'm arguing that under the current system, which I've already said I believe is total crap, that I don't believe alabama deserved to be there.

They proved tonight that they are better than LSU (and LSU proved they weren't top 2) but they already lost to them. People who defend the BCS like to say that the regular season is college football's playoffs, but clearly that's not the case.

This is stupid. LSU has proven they were one of the two best teams in the country. They went undefeated. This takes reaching to an absurd level.

Exactly...Result of the game notwithstanding, there was no doubt that LSU deserved to be in this game....This isn't a case where there were several other legitimate contenders that could have taken LSU's place...

I don't think they "got it wrong", I think there were more than two teams that should've been in the NC game. Alabama got the lucky draw, and won a game at the right time. By no means are the in any way obviously the best team in the country.

Except it boils down to the fact that noone credible agreed with you.

They chose the two teams they felt were the best. Tonight proves they did a great job. As it's been said a million times, if you don't like the system? Neat. But that's irrelevant mid-season.

I personally feel they got it right, but that's just because I watch a lot of CFB, especial SEC football. From what I saw they were the two best teams.

It seems to me you are more upset with the system than the two teams.

I hate the system and welcome the huge meeting they're about to have about it. :)

I'm an Auburn fan. I watch SEC football as well. And no, that's not why I might sound like I dislike Alabama. The only sports team on the planet I hate are the Saints.

Then you don't understand the "current system." The BCS is a ranking system, not a standings system. If it was a standings system then there'd be less controversy.

The BCS's objective is to plant the top teams against each other. And that's what the system did.

Once again, it's not about DESERVING.

OSU had it in cruse control to be in this game...they failed against an obviously inferior Iowa State team that played an inspired game and took them down with a little luck (missed OSU FG) thrown in. That's the tough breaks....

Who are these "credible" people with their "credible" opinions. GET RID of pre-season rankings and I have ZERO issues with all of this.
