Do you guys think Jimmy Clausen will give us great trade value come draft time?

All that matters if somone sees potential in Clausen and someone will. You've also got to remember we got 6 wins with the greatest rookie QB around. Don't get me wrong Clausen is garbage but so was the whole entire offense in 2010.Didn't matter who played QB we would not have won more than 4 games.

people see potential all the time in free agents they pickup......

Clausen has no trade value though....he doesn't have THAT type potential. Even the crappiest QBs showed more in games than Jimmy.

Guess we will see. I don't really care what happens to Jimmy, but I do think we will get something close to the Brady Quinn trade, if we trade him.

a crappy QB like Quinn isn't comparable to what Clausen did.

in Clausen's first 10 NFL starts

- he never threw for 200 yards

- had 3 TDs (none to a WR)

- completed more than 50 something % of his passes 1 time

Here are some of Brady Quinn's first 10 NFL starts

23/35, 65.7%, 239 yards 2 TDs, 0 INTs

21/33, 63.6%. 304 yards, 4 TDs 0 INTs

25/45, 55.6%, 271 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs.

Notice a difference.....a crappy QB like Quinn actually showed promise....Clausen makes Quinn look good.

I see your point! But I still believe someone will offer something...like I said, guess we'll have to wait and see if it happens. If I doesn't oooh well I've been wrong befor and I'm sure I'll be wrong again...

I agree with you JTGreensboro. If we keep AE, we don't need Jimmy. We re-sign Anderson and use the extra spot on a player we need. If Jimmy is picked up by a loser team, we might get a compensational pick. The only player of need on offense would be

on the OL provided we keep Stewart. Everything else should be placed on upgrading the defense. Go Catsssssssssssssssssss !

Edwards is not a QB.

We need to replace Jimmy w/ an option that could play in this offense. Anderson's skills have gone to crap.
