you cut Williams at the same time. He will be 30 when you pay Stewart.

Williams doesn't need to restructure and they will keep Stewart. He will be given a new contract sometime during 2012. Williams contract is front loaded for 2011 and 2012. It is reasonable after that and was devised with the idea of keeping Stewart when his contract expires after the 2012 season.

Absolutely, what value is Williams with his huge contract. Stew has had injury issues except for this last season. Perfect time to send him packing for draft picks and use the money he will command. (cheaper? wrong, wait till you try to sign him).

Williams is plenty fast and works great in our offense. Pair him with a scat back and we are set. Scat back from 4th round is much cheaper and opens offense even more.

So, trade could get you Cincys 21st pick, money to sign FA OLB, and scat back opens offense up even more.

Or, we could just say, "I like Stew, he aint going nowhere" and stay at 8-8 for years to come. At least we have a huge arsenal of high paid backs, nevermind that we cannot utilize them

everyone keeps saying Williams' contract is front loaded.....yet does anyone know the specifics?

I would love for someone to actually post what it will cost to have a 30, 31, etc. year old Williams on the roster under his current deal. Better RBs than DeAngelo have been cut at 30.
