Braylon Edwards to the Panthers???

Recommended Posts

Just remember in 2006, we took a chance on Keyshawn Johnson. That didn't work out too well. But remember, we also said then and hoped Keary Colbert and Drew Carter will come into their own. Not to mention, eyes sparked when Taye Biddle had a good preseason. Hopefully Dwayne Jarrett, Robinson, and Carter doesn't fall into the same trail. So don't think we wont jump on board again with a veteran WR - with a try and try again mentality. Not to say we will, but I'll head within the month with an open mind.

We really need to give Jarrett a legitimate shot at proving himself too. Maybe he falls flat on his face but I think he's at least earned the opportunity.

Also, Moose puts up solid numbers and is a great run blocking WR and we are a run first team. Adding someone like Edwards wouldn't help us. You really need to add a top WR, like Boldin, Moss, ect, to see a significant improvement and adding one of those guys just isn't going to happen. Like I said, we're pretty much set on offense for '09. The only WR I'd like to see us add is a late round pick that we can develop and be ready to step in 2-3 years from now. I'm lobbying for Tate :D

I think that the Panthers don't have a 1st round pick, which Cleveland already has that offer on the table from a undisclosed team. Carolina doesn't have the ammunition or cap money to bring Braylon in (whose in the final year of his contract I believe)

Why would they want Braylon Edwards...this guy has terrible hands.

I'm all for Tate - but remember, when post-draft comes around, and we end up getting a veteran WR. You'll eat your words! :D
