Them hiring Wade Phillips would set them back an additional year. Their defensive players don't fit that scheme at all.

Wade is one hell of a DC and has done wonders in Houston. I'm sure he could do the same for Tampa but i didn't know about hiring him as a head coach yet again. But hell, Turner has a job so what do i know..

Phillips is only 1-5 in the postseason but in stints with Denver, Dallas and the Bills he has a career winning percentage of .581 (83-64). In Dallas it was .607 (34-22).

It would actually be a good hire for them.

^^This is why I don't understand why everyone thinks it would be a terrible hire. He lost his jobs because he couldn't win in January, not September-December.

Phillips can build a nasty D. I would rather he get the job than Chud though. It's scary to think that Chud get get offered a job there and have Freemon to work with. Would be much worse than JAX getting him.

I read that they want a discipline type of coach and Phillips doesnt fit that, he's a players coach who the players like.
