Also, Ukraine and Russia are infested with serial killers. When I was a kid, we had a serial killer on a loose who was after little kids, my age. My friends and I carried knives with us to school for self defense. We would always walk home together and were ready to stub anyone who comes near us. We were 7. One day I was walking to my boxing academy and I noticed a big dude in his 40s was following me so I took off running, he gave a chase after me. Good thing I was near my boxing academy so I ran in and told my trainers, they went looking for him but the dude was long gone. When I was 9, someone killed my buddy. They knocked him out with a rock and while he was still alive they tie a rope around his neck and strangled him in the woods. Some would live explosives laying around knowing that a kid would find it. It looked like an army flask, only when you open a lid it goes boom. Quiet few kids got killed that way too.

Man, I'm sorry you had to endure all that crap. I would say What's wrong with the world today, but I think it's pretty much always been full of evil people. There were two accounts of attempted rape to members of my family. Luckily, both times something happened to prevent the act. One almost died from asphyxiation from being strangled and the perv thought he'd killed her, which saved her from being violated. The other got to her hand gun in the car, scared the guy off. Both times I was ready to take the law in my own hands. Never got a chance. The strangler was caught.
