lol. Not butthurt bro. Just dont need to get rude responses from other members who support the same team I do, just for having a view you do not agree with.

lol i didn't even push your buttons as bad as i pushed single digit IQ forums poster madhatter's, and he didn't even neg rep. he just did what he normally does when he loses a debate because he can't do good research and goes "harrrr yurrr talkin' out ya asss boy"

then again, it's plausible he can't figure out what the rep button looks like otherwise he would do it

Heard a scout asked about Brockers after the combine. He raved about how long his arms are and that guys will have a very difficult time actually getting into his body. He continued on to rave about his technique and upside in this young man. Brockers according to him was just growing into his frame.

They asked him about Poe's reps the guy said with arms as short as Poe's (insanely short arms for his size!!) can sit there and bounce the bar off his chest. He wasn't that impressed and wouldn't put him above Brockers.

I did not lose, I did not win, just a difference of opinion, btw who do you want?

to address the defensive line, barring a Morris Claiborne drop to 9, and if the value's there, address it again in the 2nd round. It doesn't have to be Brockers at 9, but he's being critiqued unfairly in this thread and others.

I'd be very happy if we got Brockers, Poe or Cox. But I'd rather Poe or Cox be after a trade down. The combine shouldn't have such an impact on how Poe or Brockers or pretty much anyone else are viewed (though I realize in many peoples' eyes it does) except in cases where particular traits are in question (like Jeffery and Blackmon's speed or things of that nature). And even then, their speed shouldn't affect opinions of them THAT much since they've shown how spectacular they are at catching the football (Blackmon in particular).

And in reference to the much earlier post about Poe being better than Brockers even discounting the combine and going off performance in pads, I will just have to agree to strongly disagree. Stats don't tell everything and stats don't = performance and Poe wasn't even better. Just the quantifiable stats:

Brockers (not including the BCSC where he got 7 total tackles): 54 total tackles (solo and assists combined), 10 of which for a loss, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 3 passes deflected (thought that'd be higher), and an interception.

Poe: 33 total tackles, 8 TFL, 1 sack, 3 passes deflected.

I prefer to actually watch them play and judge based off that, and in that respect Brockers was easily superior based on what videos I've watched. People have been trying to use him playing on a dominant defense as a reason why he wasn't as impressive. I believe the opposite, I believe (based on what I've watched) that defense was so dominant primarily because of two players: Claiborne and Brockers. He made the rest look better, not the other way around.

I wouldn't guess much further than the mid to late teens to be honest. Some team is going to overvalue combine results and take him around there. I could see the Chargers being that team if they think they can get their pass rusher in the 2nd (Curry, Perry, Irvin, Mercilus, Jones)

You think we could trade back to 12-14 get a extra 3rd and 4th and Poe. I would bust in my pants if that would happen.

Maybe, maybe not. I think if you have your eyes on a guy, you take him if he's there when you're on the clock. I don't think you try to get cute and roll the dice and try to trade back to pick up an additional mid-round pick.

I know we did that with Beason and it worked out, but then again, who's to say for sure that it was Beason we were targeting? Of course that's what the brass will say, they don't want to look like jackasses, but there's really no way of knowing.
