And nobody has done it because of the money promised in the old CBA to players selected in the top 10, and first round. With the new system, you'll see it. He'll be selected top 15. And I think you'll see more drafted in the first.

Yes because that's what's key to winning superbowls today, all of these dominating 1st round guards

there's a reason why like 14 DL were picked in the first round last year

Action this is where I disagree with you. It's not just about money. Team have figure out that you can find Pro bowl guards in Later rounds. Even thoe you pay cheaper now for a guard in the top 10. It doesn't change you can pay little to nothing to get the same Impact from a 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th round guard pick.

The guard position can be filled with late round picks. Teams know that that's why their hasn't been a guard drafted top 10 since 1997.

Nothing is surprising about Poe's workout. I don't see why he's shooting up draft boards. He's always been a workout monster who didn't dominate on the field like he should have. If Brockers is going to drop, I don't see Poe being a guy who goes in the top ten either. And I'm still not totally convinced that he should drop. If he wasn't going to lift or run, but let his agent scare him into doing it when he wasn't ready, then that's a decent explanation for running and lifting poorly. I'd like to wait for his pro day.

Fair enough. IM done with the discussion, hes a great player, and he'll be great at the next level. Lets go get one of those T-rex 3-4 OLB tweeners to do nothing for us next year, and make our Defense better. lol. or one of the dope smoking CB's.

Or the huge 6'5" raw guy, playing on the Best D in college football, as a red shirt sophmore, thats slow, stiff, does not have developed pass rush skills, who only did 19 reps of 225 and weighs 322 lbs... cause hes the Fing MAN!

if/when DeCastro gets drafted in the first by some team that really has no other needs that they have that luxury, or by a team that doesn't know what they should be drafting in the first round, all he really has to do at guard is not fug up and play guard competently (which a mid-rounder can easily do) and he'll make multiple pro bowls simply because people won't know who any other teams' guards are, and Actionman0z will feel vindicated that he was worth picking
