Hurney should kick himself for trading up to get sorry players. He traded up to get cats like Clausen, Armanti, and Everette Brown. Now when good players come out like Kalil, Claiborne, and Blackmon, now we are afraid to pull the trigger. My thing is with Hurney, if he doesn't want to trade away picks, okay. Yet don't use Clausen, Armanti, and Brown as examples to why trading up is bad. Those trades just was not smart at all, and even a fan would know not to make those trades. (I shutter to think how close Hurney was to trading away our 2011 1st pick away to get Clausen in 2010):eek:

With all that said, if we got Mario Williams, Terrell Thomas, and Reggie Nelson in FA, I would trade away 2 1sts, next years 2nd, and a player to the Rams, in order to draft Kalil. In order to win in this league, if you have a superstar QB, you are halfway there. Kalil would be the icing on the cake to this o-line. (and we would still have all our other picks in this draft)

I actually don't see how we pass on a LT if we have the opportunity.. hopefully we aren't picking Top 10 again and solidifies LT and RT for years to come... start rookie at RT, move him to LT the following year...

While you are dreaming about trading, how about we trade one of our Rbs for Cincy's 1 st round (17 overall) pick and take the DT from Penn State, Devon Still. If you could then add Cb Dre Kirkpatric with our 1st ( 8/9 Overall), get Still after the trade, and then add either another DT( Alameda Ta’amu) or LB in the second. Now you are building a D.

Disregarding the trade scenario, if we can get Kirkpatrick in the first (who should be there by our pick) and Ta'amu in the second that would make me a happy RB

but I've got a feeling Ta'amu's going to be overdrafted at some point in the first by a 3-4 team desperately looking for a nose
