If Blackmon's still available when we pick...

Quick, someone name me a single game we lost this season because of the play of the receivers. Oh, you can't name one? Okay then, quick, name me a game we lost because of our porous defense. Oh, basically all of them? Well there you go.

Drafting a receiver when you have 89, LaFell, Gettis, Olsen, and Shockey and a Top 5 offense already and when you have the worst defense in team history....um, guys that would be full-on retard.

He is an almost Calvin Johnson. He has deceptive type TO speed. Meaning he isn't super fast but fast enough at college level. He can jump almost as high. He does catch everything he can realistically catch. No sure about his strength and how it translates to the next level but as far as stanford CB's and the Oklahoma CBs they couldn't jam him. I see him as about 10-20% better than Lafell and 10-15% worse than Calvin Johnson if that means anything.

I don't follow Blackmon. Is he like the next Calvin Johnson? If you can gaurantee we score on every drive then I'll hop on the bandwagon.

No but we dont need him to be cause we got other weapons, he'll just be the icing on the cake for our dominant offense

Im telling people, we wont even need a defense

That's why I'm more inline with getting BPA. If we add to the offense that is adding to a strength and looking at the Saints and GB having too many offensive weapons is a good problem to have. On the flip side, adding quality/quantity on the defensive side is never a bad idea. I mean NYG have 25 DE's it seems like and it works. Plus who knows how Beason's and TD's health are going to be next year.

TBH now that the QB position has been fixed (finally), it leaves all the other options open. Plus there is always a chance that we get a sweet Julio Jones deal from someone. Plus looking at who is in front of us, the Andrew Luck/Peyton thing, the RG3 issue, the perennial Seattle/Wash need a QB scenarios, no telling how everything is gonna shake out.

sounds good. blackmon or richardson

bleh why even bother trying to fix the defense

after we do that, then who do you guys want with our top 10 pick in 2013?

So you think there is 1 person in the draft that is so head and shoulders above what we have that he would immediately improve the defense? Or do you think we could do like the 30th and 31st ranked defense (GB and NE) and just outscore everyone? How about putting it like this, is it easier to improve a top 10 offense or a bottom 29th ranked defense? Where as offensively we were 1 player away from being a good(not great) offense, realistically how many players are we away on defense?

CB #2/FS/OLB, DT, possibly DE and depth all around are the positions I'm looking at on the defensive side. I think we can fit our team to whomever we draft. Except for Richardson (that would be a horrendous pick for our current team make up.)
