Drafting/signing a WR this offseason...

I think it's funny how much time people waste on here acting like they know what to do and all the decisions to make. When in fact it only comes down to the staff sitting around the table evaluating each guy and each position. They have a plan and know what to do with each guy and each position. It's fun though to pretend I guess.

Blackmon is the real deal, if he is there when the Panthers draft, which he won't be, they absolutely should take him.

'stacked in quantity' is not the same as 'stacked in quality'.

Outside of Smith, there is not one receiver on the Panthers receiving core that scares anybody, at all.

Smith goes down, no one to stretch the field, and as durable as he has been over his career he is human and has missed games.

BPA in the first round, not Best Player for Need or Best Player of Desperation.

No question you take Blackmon if he is at number eight, would be a gift. Blackmon appears to be the real deal. Imagine our offense with a Fitzgerald, Megatron, type receiver to go along with Smitty, and our RB's and TE's.

If no Blackmon(who I think is gone in top five perhaps top 3), I might look for a WR that would be a return specialists in the later rounds

if Blackmon fall to us in the 1st = take him

if alshon fall to us in the second = take him

other than that we better go D.

no o-line. im on the Byron Bell bandwagon.

no matt kalil. gettis and lafell are average wrs.

gettis + lafell = legudu nannee's good games

first rule of drafting NFL WRs.

Stay away from all WRs that played at a team that goes by USC (doesn't matter which school).

The ONLY wideout I am interested in at this point beyond Balckmon/Floyd/Alshon is this guy:

Mr. Joe Adams

The best punt returner in the country and arguably the fastest in-game player in the draft. If we get a wideout; I'd be more interested in finding someone who can eventually play slot. I just don't think Armanti has the quickness for the NFL level. He got good at fielding punts and not losing yards, but that's about it.

Smith-LaFell-Gettis-(Legs)-Pilares leaves room for someone, especially if Legatron does not return

Blackmon will fall to us right after Luck and Kalil do. Some of you need to pinch yourselves...

Ok, I also get why some of you are having a wet dream over Blackmon. He just had a nice bowl game. If the Mayans were right and the world is coming to an end and Blackmon is available at our pick......WE TRADE IT. We have so many damn issues on defense I can't even think of how you can defend picking Blackmon and keeping him. BPA you say? Then freaking trade it for more picks....Draft a wr in the 1st in 2013 or 2014.

Steve is Cam's first option

TE's have been a big option

Lafell & Gettis are coming into their own

So lets draft this seasons Flavor of the draft WR for the future

Who will sit on the bench and be limited in his catches by Steve and the above getting their catches

Or we could fix the defense and draft players that will start this season

Then when Steve does retire we could draft that seasons flavor by trading up if need be

Panthers are close to contending for a playoff spot
