Gettis Vs Lafell

I don't think Gettis is going to get lost in anything. We only have 3 professional quality receivers anyway: Smitty, Lafell and Gettis. Gettis will be a strong part of the offense next year, right alongside Smitty and Lafell.

To answer the OP I think Lafell will be listed as #2 but he and Gettis will probably see roughly equal work, at least by the second half of the season anyway.

It seems that way to me. Many people are adamant about drafting a WR when we really aren't in dire need of one. I think it's because people are forgetting how well Gettis played for a rookie with Clausen as QB or just forgetting about him period.

I'm all in on LaFell. Now that the coaches have his attention, he is going to continue to develop.

I'd still jump all over Blackmon if he fell to us in the draft. He is going to be special and you can't have too many playmakers, as evidenced by the Packers and the Saints.

Who has a better season next year?

Looked like Gettis had the edge going into the season this year, but the injury to Gettis and experience Lafell gained on him this year makes it a tough call.

I am hopping they turn out like smith and moose did back in 03...

LaFell is 10x the blocker Gettis is...he'll get more reps and Gettis will likely play the slot. I'll go with LaFell.

i thought lafell was the one in the doghouse.

he even brought it up in the last presser about the change that he saw and the conversation he had with lafell yesterday saying that rivera rode him pretty hard early on but lafell rose up.

it could be gettis was in it as well, but i can only remember lafell being the one that got commented on.

Yea I think the week after that story cam out about the WRs not playing hard enough Gettis tore his ACL.
