I'm more of a city dweller myself, so I would never buy a house there, but if you are comfortable sacrificing convenience for a bigger house then its a fine place to live I guess.

I live in Mint Hill. Its very quiet and nice. Lots of elders live in Mint Hill, I call it lil florida. Its only 5min drive from 485 and about 10min from independence so its not that far. They gonna build a huge mall on Lawyers and 485 whenever economy gets lil better. They already cleared the land for it.

Malls were going into the shitter before the economy even started doing poorly. I'd be shocked if they ever build a mall there.
