A team has asked permission to interview Chud.

Hey guys if they address almost every position on team it's a pretty sweet gig

the Carolina offense scored 16 TDs last year, per the board the OL sucked, WRs sucked, Smitty was old, half the players should of been cut or traded, and we were dead last in every stastical aspect.

Running an offense and having a talent around a QB that suits him.......can make a WORLD of difference. Tampa's offense was a joke. Oh look, Blount is in the game on 1st and 2nd down. They are going to run up the cut. Oh look, Blount is out on 1st down....we have pass play.

Get a good OC. Some minor rosters moves....and all you have to work on is a defense. Should be easier to address with an actual DC working on it.

Which QB do you want:

QB A: 59.9% Comp, 7.1 ypa, 11.9 ypc 1.7 TD/Int 85.96 Rating

QB B: 60.5% Comp, 6.8 ypa, 11.2 ypc 1.1 TD/Int 79.32 Rating

I would never pick who I want as a QB over 2 random stat lines. They don't tell true story of what happens on a football field or with a team.

If Chud leaves, I will have serious questions about our offense being as prolific next season.

offense should be fine pending you don't bring in a dinosaur like Davidson. Cam is a bigger part of most of the option stuff working than Chud being a guru. Rest of the staff would be staying and the could keep the system concenpts the same.

I'd rather keep the QB coach than OC if forced to choose.

Said it elsewhere, they could always go after Mike Martz. He's free.

Can't say I'd favor it much myself, but admittedly there's a certain logic to it.

Martz would never implement the option etc that Chud has done. He's a un-creative coach.

I gotta differ with you on that one.

Mind you, I think Shula is great, but given the choice between losing him or Chud, I'd prefer to hang onto Chud.

I can see that stance. I just lean toward Chud being slightly overrated right now. Cam is the biggest part in all of this in my eyes. I think Shula's work has been HUGE. Don't want to lose him. I think we could bring in a OC with similar concepts and not miss that much.....again, my logic is Cam brings a good chunk of the uniqueness on his own.

I mean, the read option single handedly won that last Tampa game. That is a high school play. We didn't curbstomp them so much b/c of Chud.....more of just Cam being a freak and the problems he creates.

How is there logic to that ?

Adapted Coryell offensive system, aggressive style of play, history of success, and he's available. No connection with Rivera that I know of, though. But yeah, I could see it.

My first instinct would be to go after a position coach from the Chargers (Ramsdell or Joiner). I'm not a big Martz fan.

Best case scenario is obviously to retain Chudzinski.
