Don't ever give up on TD. I want him to do what is best for him, I would hate to see him in any other uniform. Seeing Kasey making all those kicks for another team yesterday just broke my heart!

Dan Morgan? Honestly, you can only justify a vet minimum contract for TD now. He should be played as a role player to increase his chances of remaining on the field.

James Anderson is weak in pass coverage, and he's leagues ahead of Jordan Senn and Dan Connor... that speaks volumes about how bad our LBer corp was this year...

A lot of those tackles comes from lack of coverage skills...

Anderson is a very solid player for his position, it's not his fault that he ended up having to anchor the defense. He's supposed to be the third best linebacker on the field, not the best player on the entire defense. With a healthy linebacker corps, and defense in general, and after an off season of positional upgrades and preparation, Anderson will be the starter at his position and a good one at that.

As a middle linebacker, Beason is head and shoulders better than Anderson. As some of you remember though, Beason was not that good as a Will. I suspect at the Will position, Anderson is as good or better thaan Beason. It is often hard to compare linebackers who play different roles on the team. As for Connor or Senn, they would only be valuable as backups not starters. Connor I think we lose to free agency and Senn is a toss up. We had a lot of guys cycle through at linebacker this year. I have no clue who we want to hold onto. I suspect special teams may make a big difference as backups usually play on special teams.

Anderson had a high tackle total because he had to shoulder most of the load. If he had some help, his tackle numbers would have been lower, but the defense would have been better off for it.

The defense is also skewed so that it funnels plays to the Will, so they will have a big tackle total no matter who they play with.

Yes, I remember that for most of the season. Once we replaced our DTs, teams didn't hit the weakside as often, but Anderson still made the tackles.
