I know what u guys say, but if we cant get Matt Kalil, I want VONTAZE BURFICT! Yes the guy is a looose cannon but carolina needs this on defense, they need emotion, someone to bring a nasty side. I dont want my defense to be polite, they gotta be mean. And Burfict, is one mean dude.

Honestly? Burfict might be there when we draft 40th-41st. I would not take Burfict with the 9th overall pick, when there are still other instant impact players available immediately.

Sorry to burst on the Coples haters, but he's been moved to DT/DE in the draft rankings, is still rated as a top 10 player as is Stills. If you want either of those, it's with the 9th pick.

10 sacks, 15.5 tackles for loss, 12 pressures and 59 tackles. 1st team all ACC and 2nd team all America at DT.

7.5 sacks. 2 of those against Duke, 2 against James Madison.

I actually like the idea of him as A DT more. I dont think he has the speed around the edge to play end.

His 10 sack 15.5 tfl season at DT was by far his best season, he's definitely a DT if you ask me. That's not to say he's bad as a DE, he's pretty good, just not a top 10 DE. Based off of his stats though, I'll say he's a top 10 DT.

That shows why we don't need Quinton Coples. If you think he's better as a DT, obviously, he's not a great player at his position.

He's 275, which is really small for a DT, and at the 8th-9th spot, there will be other, true DTs, which would be much better than going with a DE convert to DT.

Devon Still, though, is more of a true DT. He weighs 305+, he played on a very good team this year, and he anchored the middle of the defensive line.

I'm not of the belief we should take either of them, but debating taking Coples as a DT is ridiculous.

Plus, Coples has noted character and teammate issues. No thanks.

If we expect to win the south next year its clear we need 2 DT's that can push a freight train up a hill. We can not afford to let Breez set back smoke a cigarette and drink coffee waiting for a receiver to get open. That will make our secondary look better too. Plus Derm will have time to develop some new looks also.
