I think once we have something that actually resembles an nfl pass rush you will see our corners are solid. The best corners in the league can't cover for 5 seconds.

There are better coaches out there. If we want to pay for one, I say why not. We will not have a solid pass rush next season unless we bring in a FA.

There is a lack of talent in the secondary and there's not much Meeks can do about that. I'm indifferent about him but I don believe you can pin it on him.

Saying Meeks should go is like firing a chef because he couldn't make sh!t into an appetizing meal. Hurney needs to give the defensive coaches something to work with.

I'm tired of Coaches getting blamed because they can't take a GM's garbage and turn it into gold. If they clearly have talent and fail, that's one thing. If they clearly don't, and fail, the blame should go elsewhere.

We'll see what kind of "season" Hurney has this Offseason.

Considering what hes working with, I can't really give him too much hell. Practically zero pass rush and lack of talent. Give him a little more in those two areas before he takes the fall.

agreed with the sentiments from various people that an improved, more consistent pass rush is a pre-requisite to the Panthers defense having a chance in the first place.

Something needs to happen with the safeties. If they're going to give up 5 or so long TDs per season on their own, at least take some risks with how you use them. I get the sense that Meeks is a really knowledgeable coach that players can outgrow a bit and begin to tune out. (this sentiment pulled directly from my ass)

Either change the coach or change the rotation or change the philosophy. If next season doesn't feature a very aggressive defense on all 3 levels then I will start to wonder if something is up.
