Which game was more entertaining?

No kidding? Worse than SB 36? Not smack talking, I am seriously asking.

The playoff losses to Dallas and Minnesota when I was a kid were the worst, actually. One year we hosted the NFC championship game, it was tied 0-0 going into the fourth quarter, our RB tripped in the backfield on fourth and short and Dallas went on to win 28-0. God, I used to hate Dallas.

Huh? I have never remembered Dallas beating anyone in a single playoff game, might have done it in a regular season game, but never in a playoff game. Of course I could be wrong, but since the NFL says they haven't won a playoff game since about 14 years and we weren't around then. Please provide the date...

I hate Dallas too...

I looked it up, you are referring to 76 & 78 correct? From 73-77 there was a string of losses to Dall or Minny as well, but not like the ones you described.

1974 we lost at Minnesota (NFCCG) 14-10. Bad officiating did us in.

1975 we lost to Dallas at home (NFCCG) 37-7. We didn't show up.

1976 we lost to Minnesota (NFCCG) 24-13. Blocked FG for TD by Minn.

1977 we lost to Minnesota at home (1st round) 14-7. Field a quaqmire.

1978 we lost to Dallas in game I described, 28-0.

Fug Roger Staubach. Fug Minnesota. Fug the Montana 49ers.

I still say the Pittsburgh game on the final weekend of the '96 season was the most exciting game I've seen them play. The defense stopped Pittsburgh in the Red Zone as the game was running down, with Chad Cota intercepting the ball to seal the game. That game saw Cordell Stewart (Slash) of the Steelers set a record with the longest scoring run ever by a QB. The significance of the game was that we won the division, and a first round bye. The first playoff game 2 weeks later, we annhilated defending champs Dallass (yeah baby!) at home. Michael Irvin went out with a broken collar early in the game, and Deion Sanders left late with a BASHED IN HEAD! A fun year indeed.

Between the St. Louis and the Bucs games, I'll take the Rams game, because we were actually winning a playoff game, unlike what happened this year!

Agreed, between the Rams and the Bucs, I'll take the Rams. It's nice to see a blowout, but the excitement of the Rams game was just electric. But I also have said on multiple occasions that the single greatest game for the Panthers IMO is that '96 Dallas game. The most exciting event I've ever been to. I couldn't talk for a couple of days after that one...
