Funny Bengals forum thread on Dalton and Cam

Like I said earlier, Dalton does have a future in the league at QB and Cincy was lucky to ****** him up. But c'mon, him vs. Newton isn't even a comparison and I'd bet $1000 that if you offered them a trade IRL Dalton for Newton they would do it faster than a fly jumps on a fresh turd.

Didn't read it...and not going to read it.

I wouldn't expect a Bengals fan to not support Dalton any more than I'd expect a Panthers' fan to not support Cam.

Very little point in spending the time on it.

Yep. Just like the dozens of threads here bashing Dalton and trying to prove that Cam is better. He is, but the butthurt insanity of the threads on this forum were embarrassing.

Not surprising. Go check out any message board from any team in the league (including this one) and it's the same thing. Always a bunch of homeristic fans that overvalue their players and team and are generally uninformed about outside players/teams besides whatever highlights they saw on ESPN that night.

Dalton is a decent qb. Here is the difference. Half the guys on their board are willing to say Cam is the better player. Anyone here want to make that claim about Dalton? Ill wait, but this topic is not even debatable.

Obviously we aren't willing to say that because it's not true.

love Dalton but to say he's better than Cam when he really isn't, shows how some folks think. Did Dalton take the Bengals offense from 32 to top 5? Dalton throwing tds is tied with Cam and his Ints, is 2 or 3 less than Cam's and that's because he was only punished for Ints that were returned for TDs or FGs. Cam was punished for every Ints regardless of the outcome.

Dalton's rushing TDs is non existant compare to Cam, but funny how his fans justify that by claiming Cam is a run first QB, which is a blantant lie.

Honestly, I will pick the Bengals over the Panthers because defense does play a strong role in winning games and that is where Dalton has Cam in spades.

Please explain what in the hell this means.

I've been fortunate enough to have seen ever snap of both Dalton and Cam this year. As a AFC north guy, I spend most of my free time watching NFL Game Rewind online to keep up and this is what I have noticed.. Dalton looks a lot like Colt McCoy last year. Dalton is not asked to do a whole lot but he has a very talented receiving core that account for a lot of YAC. AJ Green is a true deep threat though and Dalton knows how to feed him. I think Cam and Dalton are equal in terms of the deep ball. I also like the way Dalton gets the ball out of his hands behind a decent but not not great line. Cam and Dalton both operate with 2 reliable running backs and tight ends. The X factor is Cam's escape ability and pure athleticism. While Dalton faces pretty tough defenses in his division, he has played against the AFC south and NFC west this year. His schedule yielded one of the easiest schedules in the league.. Dalton, despite what people are saying does NOT have the poise and patients of Cam in the pocket. He is easily shook and if you rush him a few times, he tends to fold. Dalton has had a very solid year but you must consider the competition, what he has been asked to do, and what he offers as a offensive threat.

Cam has been everything, good and bad at times, that Dalton has been. But because of Cam's stats as a rusher which are a game changer and because Cam handles pass rushers better and with more poise, I feel Cam wins this hands down and trust, as an unbiased onlooker who is not a fan of either team, I have tried to be as objective as possible. take care yall!

Some of you are hoping to God Dalton loses this weekend and i don't blame you one bit...I hope Cinci makes it in win or lose. It makes for a great story and + it will make 4 good conversation on the huddle.

I think Cincy fans deserve to see their team to get in to the playoffs. It's always good to see a perennial underdog achieve. Cam is still the far better QB though. Its pure insanity to think otherwise.
