Read it. A lot of homers line that thread. I wouldn't expect anything different here if it was reversed. I'll vote for our QB while they vote for theirs.

love Dalton but to say he's better than Cam when he really isn't, shows how some folks think. Did Dalton take the Bengals offense from 32 to top 5? Dalton throwing tds is tied with Cam and his Ints, is 2 or 3 less than Cam's and that's because he was only punished for Ints that were returned for TDs or FGs. Cam was punished for every Ints regardless of the outcome.

Dalton's rushing TDs is non existant compare to Cam, but funny how his fans justify that by claiming Cam is a run first QB, which is a blantant lie.

Honestly, I will pick the Bengals over the Panthers because defense does play a strong role in winning games and that is where Dalton has Cam in spades.

The funny thing about people commenting on what other players on other teams is doing is that we usually never see them play. Games are regional and unless you are in the late marquee games, people only see highlights and stats. If you only saw the stats, you would think cam had a pretty good game against TB. If you watched it, you saw how he dominated the game. We can't really coment on AD because that usually play at 1:00. We never see him play.

It's one reason people thought The Golden Calf of Bristol was so good. The entire country only cut to his games on the last drive and don't see how horrible he is the majority of the games. That's why people say he is a winner. They never saw the things that show how denver was winning despite The Golden Calf of Bristol and not because of him.

I wouldn't expect a Bengals fan to not support Dalton any more than I'd expect a Panthers' fan to not support Cam.

a qb can only be either a good runner or a good passer. not both. if he's a good runner that automatically means he must suck at passing. sorry but i like my traditional pocket passers with their lombardi trophies over those fancy schmancy athletic QBs that don't win

Dalton has been good and deserves recognition for helping turn around a team that was quickly sinking, but what Cam has done is unprescidented, he has been transcendent. He, already, has shown what a new breed of QB can bring to the NFL.

Dalton will be a good QB for years, Cam will rewrite history.

and nobody has even entertained the notion that for the first time in this franchise's history, the Panthers are ahead of the 8-ball when it comes to the QB position. Mainly about 10 years ago 4,000 yard passers had the reputation of being stat-padders (like Newton) that couldn't win and now it's like every year a 4,000 yard passer is winning the superbowl. Now we've got a QB that will be one of the 10 guys with 4,000 passing yards and has no immediate neighbors in the rushing performance. So you've pretty much got a guy who's not even in his prime and could potentially be as good a passer as Manning and as good a runner as Vick.

Aaron Rodgers is like Steve Young 2.0 and Cam Newton is in a class all by himself as a rookie. Either Newton will end up being a one-of-a-kind QB or he'll be the first of a new generation of QBs that can both run and pass as the game continues to evolve.
