Fletcher over beason all day long. You do know he has more tackles than any linebacker in the league over the past ten years and never misses a game. I'd take him over Urlacher as well.

The Pro Bowl is not a career award or a decade award, although that's the only reason Fletcher got in - because he's been solid for a long time. The only season of Beason's that Fletcher could even compare to was 2010 when Beason played WLB for part of the season, messing with his individual accomplishment. Beason also never missed a game until this year, and no one is arguing for Beason for this year :) Of course you'd take him over Urlacher, but few unbiased people would take Fletcher in his prime over Urlacher in his prime (or Beason). I'm not saying Fletcher isn't good, he's one of the best 2nd tier MLBs in the game, but he's not elite like Beason, Urlacher (in his prime), Willis, Ray Lewis.

Beason is very good but he hasn't quite hit London Fletcher status. Beason needs a couple more seasons before he is there. So any of you guys actually watch the redskins? or just the panthers? I'm not even a redskins fan but it's a shame the lack of respect Fletcher gets. And outside of this area, people don't talk much about Beason.

I've seen more about Beason in the national media than Fletcher. Only Willis and Ray Lewis really get talked about in higher regard than Beason in the national media though Vilma is right up there with Beason (because he's been on a successful team lately). Fletcher's been good for a long time, but Beason has been great since he came in to the league. Beason in his prime > Fletcher in his prime.
