Luck is the dude people are trying to buy papers from.

I'm not saying it's the end of the world, but it gives credibility to the "lazy" label he got. The only reason to not succeed academically in that environment is you are lazy. He didn't even copy a paper, but bought one and turned that in. If that doesn't scream lazy, I don't know what does.

He's moved past it and is looking like the best pick in the draft in a long, long time but let's not pretend people didn't have reasons to worry about him pre flop. Let's not let what we know now change what the facts were then.

No, I don't think there was anything to worry about...IMO, people were not worrying as much as it seems, like you, they were looking for any reason not to pick Cam high in the draft.

FYI, there are CEOs who will profess to have paid to have their term papers done. It's not unusual. It's done all the time in college. Won't be surprised if Luck did have someone do his term papers. I find students who are great in math are not always the best when it comes to being creative in writing. One of the main traits in writing a good term paper.

The thing that many don't realize about Cam is, not only is he very smart but he has a keen sense of awareness. He may come across very goofy and playful but there seems a side of him that is always aware of what is going on around him.

I remembered growing up around two young ladies...One was very book smart, Intelligent, and the other was very street smart and had a keen sense of awareness...Guess which one made me quote the phrase..."A mind is a terrible thing to waste" to her?

I don't see how you get that Cam blames Russell and Young out of that quote. Cam simply said that he want ppl to say that RG3 can be the next Cam Newton and not the next Russell. Meaning that he want ppl to say that he can a very good career in the NFL on and off the field. But you turned it into something negative.

Deadspin took it negative, but Cam did find negatives in Russell and Young because he said that they set the bar for 1st overall picks that he had to overcome and answer to. That's a slight to Russell and Young...deservedly so.

Just happenstance that both happen to be black 1st overalls he mentioned. I wished he'd included Leaf in the quote, but Leaf's ancient history in NFL years.
