that's why i was high on Clausen at the time, but do remember that high school to college rankings arent always the measuring stick and THIS is proof. i mean, look at it. Clausen, Mallett, Tyrod Taylor, John Brantley, Aaron Corp, Stephen Garcia, Logan Gray and Clint Brewster over Newton!!! wow. Gray isnt starting, dont know Brewster, Garcia's personal issues and other things cost him, Corp is starting at a smaller school thanks to Matt Barkley, Brantley went to the wrong school and Taylor and Mallett are backups, one wont start, the other may in the future and of course Clausen is Newton's backup. guys like Mitch Mustain were highly recruited out of high school and failed. it just happens. too bad Mustain failed by the way, i was hoping he would be great.

Wow its amazing how these top prospects end up doing in the NFL. When I get bored sometimes I like to look and see the top high school players from years ago and see which ones made it to the NFL. So many top players never even make it past college.

wow didnt think clausen would be number 1 on that list. Also see ryan mallet #2, when brady retires(or if they trade mallet) i can see him being a pretty good QB.

oh, i KNEW Clausen would be number one on that list, coming out of high school, he was hyped to the moon, just look up Cnnsi and Kid with the Golden Arm. as for Mallett, i think a team may trade for him, especially if RG3 stays in school and same with jones. Washington can NOT bank their season on Grossman or draft Tannehill way too high, so i could see them getting Mallett in a trade if the price is right and i think he will be pretty good if he remains poised in the pocket which is my worry.
