It's not the Eli part that got him in, it's the Manning part.

guys dont be homers

eli is having a fantastic year and cam is having almost exactly as good

the difference is cam is a rookie yes but people aren't going to take that into account like a fan, playoffs are a bigger difference

i am surprised it was even close, cam wont get anything until he wins as it should be. im just happy it wasn't romo and The Golden Calf of Bristol isn't going

They're 3a and 3b. Even by DVOA they're basically identical.

Cowherd hates Eli though so I'm not quite sure what you're talking about.

They're nearly identical...except Stafford has NINE more touchdowns (Eli has 1 rushing). Eli doesn't deserve to be in over Stafford or Cam. I could understand Stafford getting in over Cam but not Eli.

Most in the public voting in Probowl don't have clue about DVOA, but they know what TD/INT ratios are.

The point wasn't about Colin's opinion of Eli, but about the importance of catering to major media markets.

I guess that explains why romo made it.

There was only one spot remaining... Romo (with a busted up hand) and a 29/9 ratio with about 1,000 less yards thrown wasn't going to beat out Staff/Eli. That despite being on America's team. You either like Dallas or you hate em. That's going to hurt your voting.

Plenty of people despise the Giants as well, and being hurt has never stopped anyone from making the pro bowl. Hell, Forte is the starter this year and he just got ir'd.

Uh eli had a really great year I'm not sure what the problem is.

Yes, he had a really great year.

4586 yards of offense, 26 total touchdowns, 20 total turnovers.

Somebody else (lets call him QB #1), however, had 4596 yards of offense, 36 total touchdowns, and 15 total turnovers.

And somebody else (QB #2) had 4567 yards of offense, 34 total touchdowns, and 18 total turnovers.

QB #1 and #2 had better years than Eli Manning. Both had significantly more total touchdowns as well as less turnovers.

Like someone said, he was selected through the strength of the New York market. And that's the ONLY reason.
