Should dome QBs have an asterisk by their season stats?

who is upset about stats or having to play outside?

i'm just more impresed with people who have the majority of their stats played outside dealing with the elements where fotbal is supposed to be played rather than coddled in a climate controlled environment.

brees may have the record but i'm far more impressed by brady who got his yards outside where it's supposed to be.

i hate giving brady props, but he's got a lot more respect from me than brees will ever have. you put brady and that team in a pussy dome like that and brady owns brees by a significant margin year after year.

now excuse me while i bathe in bleach because i sure feel dirty praising brady like that.

Someone is completely missing the point why you're ridiculing the Saints (which they deserve).

They are worthy of ridicule because since 1967 when they joined the NFL the New Orleans Saints have not won a single Playoff game on the road.

Ever.

They continue to demonstrate what a soft, prima donna team they are with losses on the road to "inferior" NFC West teams the last 2 years in the Playoffs.

As a contrast, the Carolina Panthers in their brief history are an incredibly respectable 4-2 on the road in the Playoffs.

Zod could care less if Breesus passes for 10,000 yards during the regular season, when real men play football the Saints curl into the fetal positon and call their mommies.

I'm heading toward age 45 and grew up watching the Steel Curtain, the Tom Landry led Cowboys, Joe Gibbs' Redskins, Don Coryell's Chargers and the Raiders back when Al Davis actually knew crap.

When I first started watching, there were only 26 teams. That list included the Baltimore Colts, the Saint Louis Cardinals, and the Los Angeles Rams. And back then, not only did the Minnesota Vikings not play in a dome. Bud Grant wouldn't even allow them to have heated banches.

Seriously, dome teams can't compare to outdoor teams. The elements play hell on each individual player. Some adapt great, some don't. Regardless, playing at least half of your schedule indoors DOES hurt you come playoff time, when it is cold and windy and you have to go outside (you know, where the game originated...)

The only cities that should have domes are minnesota and detroit due to the heavy snow they receive. Other than that, no other team in the NFL has an excuse to have a dome. Especially ones in the south.

First time I ever saw a game I was five years old. It was Steelers-Raiders, the one with the Immaculate Reception, and I saw it on my Grandma's 10 inch black and white. After it was over, I immediately said "Holy cow this is great! What is this game?" (my brother explained).

It's no coincidence that Newton is breaking a rookie yardage record and Brees is breaking the all-time yardage record. The lockout is what helped. Seems crazy to say but the lockout affected defenses more than offenses.

disagree....I think the records all falling b/c each year it becomes more and mroe of a passing league. What you see is a bigger push to make the short pass game an extension of the run (which is why the leading rusher in the NFL has less yards than any other RB in years). What use to be rushing stats are now getting tacked onto passing stats.

RBs/TEs are going from run game positions to pass game positions....and it is giving QBs a huge bump.

What hurts defenses isn't the lockout it is the ever changing rules. They can barely touch anyone out there.......and now w/ the new rules they can't even practice w/ pads hardly.

Don't know if that was brought up previously, but the rule changes are a valid point and probably have as much or more to do with the records falling as the domes do.
