Falcons destroy the Saints

Look, if and when Newton gets to the point of breaking NFL all time passing records, he will be long gone from Charlotte. Cam is too big for Charlotte. Cam wants NY, LA (by that time there will be an LA team), Dallas... Cam demands big attention. Charlotte will never fulfill his ego quest. That's just truth.

Personally, I'd like to see him stay here, but that's not his style.

Wish you had told us sooner how well you know Cam. We could have been hitting you up for inside info. Since you know him so well, tell us: boxers or briefs?

Superman is from Gotham, not Crown Town.

Seriously? Superman is from Gotham?

Look, if and when Newton gets to the point of breaking NFL all time passing records,

Also, he's already broken a number of NFL all time passing records, all time record for yards in a season by a rookie, most yards passing in 1st game as a rookie, 1st two games as a rookie, etc. If you wanna talk ALL-TIME records, Brees' wasn't an all time record either, just a single season record. Counts just as much as single season rookie records. How long did it take Brees to become relevant? Cam's there in his first season. Enjoy the success while Brees is still good, and hope it plays out for the Saints like it did for the Colts - Brees goes down just as a mega potential QB is coming out so the Saints can get the #1 and take him. Without Brees, the Saints are not much better than the Colts without Manning.

Falcons butthurt by classless Aints.

The Saints got the ball back at the 33-yard line Monday night, up 38-16, with just over five minutes remaining.

Drew Brees needed 30 yards at the time to break Dan Marino’s record. The Saints would usually be running the ball in that situation. But this wasn’t a usual situation.

Saints coach Sean Payton clearly wanted to get the record on Monday Night Football. He admitted so after the game.

“Typically, would I be throwing it there? The answer would be probably not. In fact, the answer would be ‘I wouldn’t be.’ But I thought it was appropriate that we get the record. And we did it,” Payton said, adding how much he respected the Falcons.

After a one-yard run by Pierre Thomas on the second play of the drive, the Saints kept throwing. We didn’t have a problem with the strategy. There’s no rule saying the Falcons couldn’t stop Brees.

Payton and Brees were trying to get the record out of the way and celebrate on a special night in New Orleans. Not everyone agrees with our view.

Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports questioned whether the approach was “classy.” Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com criticized the Saints, saying that running up the score took some shine off the record. Falcons players agreed.

“No need for that,” one player told Prisco. “It came on our watch, but it didn’t have to come that way. We won’t forget it.”

Falcons coach Mike Smith said only positives about Brees after the game, but Prisco writes via team sources that Smith wasn’t happy with Peyton’s decision to go for it.

“That’s just who they are,” the Falcons player said. “We’ll see them down the road. We won’t forget any of it.”

Peyton Manning is a high class player. When he was on his record setting pace to have the most passing td's in a season, if the games were over he would kneel. I remember specifically against the Ravens, the Colts were up big and they had the ball inside the 10 and could easily added another TD to his stats but the classy thing by kneeling the ball. The Stains on the other hand, as we already know are stat fine young males and of course, even up by 22 points late in the 4th... well we know what they did. Congrats fine young male.
